What do time wasters get out of leading you on then just never showing up for meets.

I understand guys not wanting to give out full address straight away but if you're serious then at least be bloody honest.

Once again ive driven to a place and waited for final instructions only to be left fucking stood there like a dick.

Many of them I believe are not malicious. They just bottle at the last minute & then get so embarrassed that they block you & set up a new profile. I’ve had it more than once too.

Annoying but there’s not much you can do about it.

I genuinely don’t understand… Did you speak to this man on the phone to get a sense of him before you arranged the meet? If not, why not? Did you not say to him: I’ve been mucked about before so I’m not prepared to drive to you unless I know exactly where I’m going. If not, why not?

Are you going to keep repeating this behaviour?

i’d never leave the house without full details of where we are meeting, those who only give half the address and will give the house number or whatever when you’re there just aren’t worth the time, but i’d never knock at someone’s address without meeting them somewhere public first, have to build an element of trust first.

I can accommodate and never give my full address until we have confirmed the meeting that day. I tell them I will give the full address before they leave their home and my verifications speak for themselves.

I would never expect someone to travel without the full address though I have given the postcode early on so they're aware of the distance. I have driven to meetings in the past and found they've deleted or blocked and vowed I would never do the same (and I don't). The risk I take is giving the full address after confirmation "we're on" and they don't arrive. But that's a risk I judge by the conversation and a gut reaction of the person I'm dealing with and their verifications are a good indicator. Their non-arrival has happened but it's rare. I immediately delete the thread.

I've given up travelling unless I know the guy, or there are several others in his area. I'm happy to give out details of where I am parked with a Google maps reference. It amazes me that guys aren't able to use Google to find me.

I walked for 45 mins in the winter whilst still chatting with the person. Said I was just around the corner and said I could see there house. The lights went off and so did there phone. 45 minute walk home frustrated

I think the main issue is that a large proportion of guys on here present as straight in every day life: this app is their fantasy escape.

While some may actually take the plunge and do something, for a lot, they’re building up excitement in their heads, then they have a wake up call and cancel or ghost.

It’s the same reason why you get guys setting up then deleting profiles only to come back again.
