How do you use the block function?

Just curious how people use the block button . As someone on the receiving end, the instances that I know of:

1. I wasn’t their type

2. We had a falling out/ they no longer wanted to continue being friends

3. Met, had fun, left, after a brief ‘nice to meet you’ BLOCK

I mean people can do what they want, but I usually only tend to block people who are just persistent and don’t take no for an answer.

I've started to block guys who keep turning up in my who is near list, and it's obvious that we will never get together. It's made a massive improvement to my list.

I have huge blocked list.

Mainly guys who won't take 'no thanks' for an answer or simply aren't my type. No point in wasting time

Including this; I'm not their type. They've said something offensive on a forum. They've suggested or said something which has creeped me out.

You can usually tell if someone is a time waster.

My rule of thumb is if after 8 messages each a meet hasn’t been arranged then I block them.

I don’t see any point in wasting any more of my precious time.

"

I mean people can do what they want,

"

This is it. You aren't owed any reason or rationality why. People are quite capable of making their own minds as to why they would make use of the block function.

Annoying pests

Guys who not interested in meeting so they dont appear in future searches or local updates.

Prolific pic posters - especially of the gaping arse variety.

I do same...I've a very highly curated profile.

You also see who is logging out of the app and back in, as I find a few profiles appearing in purple as thought I've viewed their profile but its less than an hour old.

I’ve just added another person to my block list after a failed meet. He turned up this morning as arranged. We went upstairs and he asked where the loo was. I pointed him in the right direction and he proceeded to walk out the front door instead. No communication at all. Not even an apology from him

My block list is vast.

Mainly made up of people who, for whatever reason, I’m unlikely, or never going to want to meet.

Sometimes it’s just because they’re nearby, top, and I don’t want to have to keep scrolling past their pictures.

Sometimes it’s because their profile picture gives me the ick and I just don’t want to keep seeing it in searches or “who’s near”.

Sometimes it’s because they’re into stuff I’m definitely not interested in, or they’re really just not my type.

.

Essentially only guys who struggle to take no for an answer.

In a few cases I've blocked people I know IRL as friends - we don't need to have insight into each others sex lives like that. Nor do I particularly want to see my childhood friends hard cock he has as his profile picture...

I Block local people who say they are not into Bears or facial hair. Usually after they’ve looked at my profile.

Also if they cannot take a polite “no thanks”

I use message filters so that does cut down a lot of unnecessary messages

I block people who essentially talk shit...

Heres an example...

4 weeks arranging a meet after he contacted me... 3 failures in that time due to incoherent messages and surprise events (each more surprising than the next).

Agreed it would be wednesday and he would inform me of the time first thing in the morning as he only meets between 9 and 3.

Wednesday comes... nothing... I left it till 7pm and asked is all ok.

The response...'oh sorry you weren't online so I didnt message you'

A. I was online all day waiting.

B. I have received numerous emails whilst offline.. weird how that works

C. The implication of his message is that im an idiot.

As such block.

Site is full of em.
