Cowbridge

Much prefer recorded music, not many live seem to top their studio output, though there are always exceptions to the rule.

Rod Stewart MTV live was fantastic.

Seen Bowie dozens of time but Heroes Live Aid I never heard better.

"My all time favourite… Mountain Live… 17 mins of nantucket sleighride.. "

It's the only tune I know by them. Strangely enough, it was only yesterday that I was reading about Felix Pappalardi, their bass guitarist and vocalist.

He was closely attached to the British power trio Cream, writing, arranging, and producing for their second album Disraeli Gears, prior to his time with Mountain. Pappalardi was shot and killed by his wife, Gail Collins Pappalardi, on April 17, 1983, in their apartment on the East Side of Manhattan, with a derringer he had given her as a gift a few months previously. She was subsequently charged with second-degree murder and was found guilty of the lesser criminally negligent homicide.

Wow, realised I've never heard the 17 minute version before. Liking the longer instrumental jam in the middle. Fatsby was one hell of a guitar player and it's good the organ's on there too.
