A majority ... or even all ... of Trump's so-called "Cabinet" would also have to assent. (It's all a bit hazy, as it's new territory.) Given that before they were promoted from well-deserved obscurity to their current positions, for which they are not remotely qualified, and owe those promotions entirely to Trump, that is a very high bar and very unlikely to be met. | |||

After the farce of Iraq it appears you're allowing yourself to be hoodwinked yet again. Secondly, AIPAC (and other pro-Israel lobby groups) has a substantial influence on American foreign policy. In the 2024 election cycle they spent roughly $100million, making it one of the top donors. It's unbelievably naive of you to believe that they don't want a significant return on such investments. | |||

Easily found online. 2 President Trump, even recently, said he would have done this during his 2nd term. Easily found online. 3 8th April 2026, Iran’s 10 point peace plan mentioned nothing of enrichment of uranium, the US’s 15 point plan said Iran must give up any enriched uranium and they will never have a nuclear weapon. Iran refused to agree hence no peace plan. Easily found online. 4 In October 2025 Iran terminated all agreements with the International Atomic Energy Agency re enrichment of uranium.
