A few weeks ago a friend asked me if I would sort out the lock on her mum's garage side door .when I was replacing the lock barrel I noticed she had loads of bottles of fairy washing up liquid. I mentioned it to my mate and she said yeah her mum collects them when theyare on offer.Odd I thought but hey ho xx

My nan used to hoard bars of Imperial Leather soap. I inherited her house and everything in it 8 years ago. The bar of soap i used today was one she bought. Boxes of the stuff!

Nothing wrong with Imperial Leather, have used it for years.

But I must admit my current bar of soap is from Trumpers in Jermyn Street..a fabulous Christmas gift I received....

I was given a bottle of their 'Astor' cologne as a gift recently, I adore it.

When my grandma died and we were clearing out the place, we found boxes and boxes of sugar lumps. Some were out of date by 20 years and more.

My nans soap is in boxes now, but in her house it was all over the place, lots in every drawer, randomly in cupboards, in her handbags, pockets of coats. It was either some bizarre ritual to see off evil, or she was off her rocker.

Defo, my ex-MIL had been an evacuee kid in the war and she hoarded everything from the last teaspoonful of gravy to the free toiletry sachets from hotels.

My habit...I always grab a handful of johnies at the clinic, even though I dont need them

I've got shit loads at home, but they have them like a bowl of sweets, all pretty colours.

My dad used to take the electric motor off anything electrical and save it. A broken washer or lawnmower etc. As long as the motor works he kept it. You never know when it might come in handy. I chucked loads out of his garage when he died
