USA have won the war against Iran according to Trump, several weeks ago.

Meanwhile there is a global economic crisis due to no oil or other commodities passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran have today fired on three commercial vessels. Is there no actual end to this idiot's bullshit?

Russia's oil revenue has doubled due to a relaxation of sanctions aimed at easing the crisis which is now, in part, funding the war in Ukraine. You just can't write it.

Iran deliberately targeting commercial vessels are war crimes, as was targeting other countries infrastructure, particularly Oman.

The only apparent military success of Iran, reported a couple of weeks ago, was shooting down two US fighter jets out of some 10,000 US targets of Iran, and even then the pilots survived.

Iran are not even fighting a war, they are committing war crimes and acts of terrorism, they are, after all, a terrorist state.

In that sense, President Trump is, again, 100% correct, the ‘war’ has been won, probably from the first day.

The only way this ends is the guy causing it all to have a stroke or heart attack and go away. The us congress is run by the republicans and they don’t have the balls to stand up to him. It would only take a vote in the House of Representatives and a trial in the senate to rid the country of this cockroach. The people will have to take care of it at the ballot boxes, but this cockroach and the spineless republicans are trying to cancel the midterm elections because they know they are going to lose their asses.

Any country that has ever been involved in a war has harmed civilians. Unfortunately it’s a part of war.

To keep on and on and on about it shows how little there is to hold against him.

If the US senate hasnt impeached him (yet) then he’s still the president that’s done nothing wrong, whatever you have personally decided

It's looking like the USA is loosing the war.

Trump keeps postponing his threats, which Iran now take as hollow threats.

Iran has seized two cargo ships and are holding them hostage, to counter Trumps blockade.

Rumours are that Iran has received new armenants from Russia and China.

7 out of 10 Americans are against the war.

Trump is loosing this war.

Now is the dangerous time, as no one knows what the mad man will do next.

No actually those idiot’s bullshit and the real fools are the three clueless European leaders, the liar Starmer, along with Macron and German kanzler . They've been cozying up to the ayatollahs for 47 years, splitting up Iranian oil while the Iranian people suffer and killed and hanged . It's disgusting, and no one else is supporting those dirty ayatollahs—only Starmer and his crew are making that happen.

One of the main stated goals by Trump was the replacement of the current Iranian regime with one that was more friendly to the West. They haven't made even the smallest amount of progress with this, and everyone they have killed has been replaced like-for-like. How is this a win?

Who’s making the calls in Iran right now, as you see it, being one of the experts? Can they actually provide wages for people after this war? How much longer do you think they can keep this up? Just sitting back in the corner won’t provide any insights unless you’re involved... they’ve stopped giving Starmer any toys to play with, so he’s got to just sit back and observe the outcome.

Fact is that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, solely due to Trump's ill thought out actions, causing a global economic crisis on a massive scale. War is war... civilian infrastructure supports armies! Dresden, the London and Berlin blitz! Terrorists will use and hide behind hospitals, schools and religious infrastructure! Rules made up in peacetime by armchair academics about what constitutes a war crime, don't count for squat when the bombs and bullets start flying! War is a nasty business, but someone, somewhere is making money out of it... there's ya real criminals!

You initiated the discussion by criticizing Trump and his objectives, suggesting that you believe you possess superior knowledge compared to others. I posed questions to you, but you did not provide any answers. The loss of jobs and rising prices are temporary issues, whereas the uranium enrichment by those who commit murder could potentially devastate countries worldwide. So, consider which option is more favourable. You overlook the reality that the Iranian people themselves desire to be free from this regime, which is controlled by armed murderers. Starmer seems content to sit back and let others handle the situation, similar to the approach of France and Germany. The oil-sharing arrangement they had with the ayatollahs is now over. I hope this message resonates with you.

Excellent response.

Stripped right down to the bare bones, it is Iran & Iran only who have closed the Strait solely due to terrorist activities, including now hostage taking.

Iran have not engaged in military warfare, if they are, they are committing war crimes in the Strait.

The like of the OP appear to wilfully ignore this and never condemn terrorism from a terrorist state or war crimes.

As the president said, we don’t need another Neville Chamberlain appeasing monsters.

Only act once a terrorist state had nuclear weapons?

Why do you assume that anyone that wishes to discuss policy, with any nuance, must be a Trump supporter. Biggest problem both sides of the Atlantic is blind tribalism.

Every American president since 1979 has understood that the Iranian regime is a threat, most, including Hillary, campaigned on a very hawkish stance towards The Iranian regime.

Since the Shar who was an American puppet and like Americans do he misappropriated billions from the Iranian people until he was expelled from Iran in 1979, and since time he and his family have enjoyed a billionaire life in Paris all funded by the Iranian people. No sensible person has any patience with the religious clowns who were able to establish the horrible regime which replaced the Shah but bad as they are they in no way come close to being as evil as their predecessors.

Perhaps someone could point out to me how Iran was ever a threat to the yanks, and bear in mind that they signed a nuclear accord with Abama which the present gangster unilaterally tore up.

What the Shah of Iran accomplished for Iranians, particularly for those leftists who view Greta Thunberg as their leader, includes: Land Reform: He abolished feudalism by redistributing land from large landowners to millions of farmers at lower prices, thereby liberating almost 90% of sharecroppers. Women's Rights: He advanced education, granted women the right to vote, and enacted the Family Protection Law. Education and Literacy: He founded the "Literacy Corps," which brought education to rural regions and significantly decreased illiteracy rates. Industrialization & Infrastructure: He made substantial investments in infrastructure, including the construction of roads, dams, and modern factories for automobiles and appliances. Nationalizing Resources: He nationalized forests, pastures, and natural resources. Secularism & Nationalism

Well deserved that amount of money , I wish he had more as ayatollahs would have taken it for themselves to have more missiles .

Every US President, from Carter to Trump, has had bad relations with Iran and have carried out economic sanctions against Iran for decades and no direct diplomatic relations.

Iran’s hostage taking of US citizens in 1979 kicked it off.

Reagan provided military support for Iraq against Iran in their war.

Reagan attacked Iranian oil fields and sunk a warship in 1988.

Clinton imposed total oil & trade embargoes against Iran.

Bush Jnr considered Iran part of an Axis of Evil and pursuing nuclear weapons.

Both Bush Snr and Obama were less aggressive with Iran but both still continued sanctions and trade embargoes.

As did Biden but with increased tension.

And, of course, Trump, the only president to have the backbone to deal with these animals.

Why didn’t you know this shirty? It’s history you have lived through.

It is remarkable that many individuals concentrate exclusively on Trump, neglecting to acknowledge the accomplishments of the Nazi ayatollahs. Actually zero achievements .. they have brought Iran back to 1930 and they clap for themselves .. The harm they have caused to Iran, including the loss of 40,000 young lives, is truly mind-boggling. The act of closing the Strait of Hormuz would be detrimental to their own interests and those idiots still carry on .. The real fools are actually on ayatollah side , yet it seems difficult for Europeans to fully understand the circumstances. Their leader, Mickey Starmer, remains in a state of confusion regarding when he will classify the IRGC as a terrorist entity. This ongoing contemplation is concerning; someone should really help him navigate this issue. He has something in his pant can’t decide really .

Its a very odd plan. Its just where they store their oil for shipping out. Obviously since the war started Kharg Island basically has nothing on it. They would just be taking a random island, that's probably rigged to blow. All the oil production in Iran is done on land.

Orange Arsemouth has TACO'd yet again.

"cancelling scheduled strikes" on Iran.

Cue a flurry of obfuscation. Cue "deal imminent"

Brent Crude opened at $95: now it's $91.

Go figure. LOL.

Trump became the 'boy who cried wolf' a long time ago. Nobody in their right mind believes a word he says, he's erratic, untrustworthy, and needs to be removed.

I'm the OP, how is this the 'same thread'?

Trump gives us so much material, he can't bear to be out of the news but he did state 2 months ago that they'd won the war, which he started, against Iran. Eight weeks later it's still going on and economies around the world are in turmoil. What exactly has been achieved?

Just sell stocks and buy oil. Quickly now! It'll be no time before Trump announces he's going to attack again and you can cash in.

Trump's burned through half his strategic reserve of explosive devices already, so not too much danger that anything will actually happen. This is exclusively for Trump, Inc's benefit.

"USA have won the war against Iran according to Trump, several weeks ago.

Meanwhile there is a global economic crisis due to no oil or other commodities passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran have today fired on three commercial vessels. Is there no actual end to this idiot's bullshit?"

In a word No 🥱🥱🥱.

I just can't believe the media who hang onto every word he says. It's become a bit of a circus.

If those was happening in any other country they would be mocking him and ridiculing the country for having such a leader.

"Apparently if you're anti Trump you are pro Ayatollah, according to binary thinking people.

Sigh."

What a laugh! So, when folks mention ayatollahs, does that mean they're on Team Trump? Ha ha ha. Back to those leftists who genuinely believe everyone is clueless. Just take a look at their leader, Starmer. When's he going to actually do something about those guys? How can he say he’s not pro-ayatollahs? He hasn’t even put the IRGC on the terrorist list after all these years with the endless excuses he pulls out of his arse .. Plus, he sends his members to the ayatollahs' embassy to celebrate their revolution. How long do the leftists think they can keep fooling everyone? I’m just stunned.

That seems to be very much the level on which these mentally challenged idiots function. I read an article recently that Trumps 7th bankruptcy would be the USA, that looks more likely by the day. The only place I see America dumping billions of $ is the genocidal Israel who seems to control the present administration totally, the exposure of the Epstein files could very well bring that to an end with the entire US government.

If you want to see fascists then you need go no further than Israel and it’s accomplice America where masked ICE gangs are free to shoot innocent civilians dead on the street. I am totally opposed to the political system in Aran, but I fully support the black eye they have just administered to the US, which can only be described as fascist under its present administration.
