Was on my list of places to go.

It just takes one person with a grudge and a match to cause so much destruction.

Hope they can rebuild and keep it going, it must be soul destroying for the owners.

Gay, lesbian, straight, trans, who ever did this attacked our freedom

I just saw a news article saying that a man has been arrested for suspected arson.

I hope that nobody was injured.

Milton Keynes

That place holds a lot of memories for me.

Some great, like me and my friend taking home a lesbian couple one night. Some not so great, like having my drink being spiked and having to be saved by some friends. I must have been in there 100 times.

The first time I went there I was terrified it would be inexplicably filled with guys I'd been with who'd immediately out my closeted self to all my friends that I was with. Turned out to be filled with straight girls and the local chavs they'd attract instead!

Still, was somehow the best night out in MK and the only gay space we really had.

I really hope they can rise from the ashes again. They've had a turbulent past, but they've always come back in the end.

Fortunately no one was injured. High praise to the staff for getting everyone out safely with minimum panic. Read about it and saw pictures this morning. Totally gutted and only the outer walls still standing. Hope it can be rebuilt.

Has it been confirmed that the attack is homophobic?

Revived for the benefit of Chris1966.

Great tragedy. Evidently the police have a suspect but no details. Hopefully it will rise Phoenix like from the ashes and be a vibrant centre for LGBT people again.
