I've spent time in the Antibes, St Tropez, Juan Les Pins areas, which are a little further east. You'll meet a classier, more sophisticated type of person there however it's not cheap.

The French also appreciate if you make an attempt to speak their language. Please note that 'Tia' is Spanish for aunt, the French word is tante.
