I work in a pretty standard aggressively hetero, largely male, mostly hard physical graft sort of job (and mostly hold my own with them when it comes to hardcore lifting and such).

As you'd expect there's plenty of sexist and homophobic banter, and as I'm not out I kind of play along although not ever in a hurtful way.

But it's been commented on how I stand, when e.g. leaning on the warehouse door. I don't do it deliberately but apparently I have a womanly or poofter kind of gait and way of sticking my arse out to one side. I mean I always thought it was channelling James Dean or Brando

I mean im openly gay, so it probably changes it. I'll correct anyone that uses the wrong gender for my partner and mention them by first name.

Still oddly most straight (and nearly all non out bi) guys never pick up on the fact I'm gay. Which is strange because most women and gay men can see it pretty damn quickly. Straight guys just seem to get confused by the fact I like sport.....
