I can recommend flotation tanks. I have ADHD and am absolutely awful at just being still but my other half booked me into a flotation tank experience, I wondered what I had done to upset her this time. I was walked the rough the process, I had to strip and have a shower then climb into the tank and shut the lid. Once lying in the tank the lights would stay on for a few minutes with gentle music playing and then the lights would dim and the music would fade then I would be left floating in the dark in silence and a few minutes before my 45 mins were up the music would fade up and then the lights would come up. I thought yeah right, I will be out of that thing well before the lights come back on. So I followed the instructions and was soon floating in the dark feeling oddly relaxed and calm. What felt like 10 mins later the music started playing and the lights faded up. I was convinced I hadn’t been in there any more than 15 mins max but when I showered to was the salt off and retrieved my phone from the locker I had been in there almost 50 mins. I don’t know if I had fallen asleep floating on the water or what but I was feeling very chilled. I will be going back again. Small note, definitely don’t shave anywhere before you go 😱🤣

I have done this and I couldn't relax at all that 45 mins was like hell for me!! Glad it worked for you!

I recommend a good book (malazan book of the fallen) and some background metal !!

I would recommend buding a cheap camping hammock, going for a walk somewhere bright and sunny with trees, and just putting it up for 10 minutes, lying back and watching the trees above sway in the wind with a clear blue sky behind them.

Last Saturday when not a cloud in sky I sat in garden in my pants soaking up the sun.

A bit dark and chilly where I am today, but I've cracked open a bottle of red 🍷, country choons on the radio, and I've emptied 3266 pieces of lego over my dining room table and I'm constructing Tudor Corner.

I can recommend setting your alarm an hour earlier than you usually would, waking up and doing your usual coffee/tea/morning ablutions etc and then...

Going back to sleep for another half hour or so, a catnap. Ready for work but just allowing your mind that one more chance to unravel and wander in semi-dream state. Ignore that you're going to have to go to work shortly and practice mindful unconsciousness.

I do this every morning and it's amazing how much of a conscious and awake and aware yet dreamlike state I can get into and feel my mind disintegrating before I have to resume full awareness and get on with the day like an adult. Especially now the mornings are getting brighter and I can feel dawn and the lightening beyond my eyelids. It feels like waking up properly if that makes any sense. I hate being rushed and dominated by the tyranny of the alarm. Allowing myself that extra half hour of sleep feels like a luxury that's a massive boon to sanity throughout the day.

Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. If you're a hard sci-fi fan this will be right up your street. I won't give spoilers but it's brilliantly written and brilliantly imaginative.

Supporting your local, independent businesses; shops, cafes, bakeries, butchers, breweries et al. The multiples and multinationals have had enough of your hard earned already, spend it where it's going right back into your community, not into some remote shareholders dividend cheque.

Sadly, I can't paint a shed door without making a mess so art is out for me

My head is all over the place and I try to do too many things at once... we Geminis never switch off

Swimming is relaxing if there aren't too many shouty people or marathon men/women in the pool, and I like a bit of gardening/pottering about

After a bout of depression years back, I can no longer sit happily with a book, and newspapers are miserable but I enjoy some cookery

Please don't laugh, but I can spend a happy hour doing cross stitch in the evening . I never do anything with the end product, just start the next... it beats chain smoking or watching crap TV

For me it would be slipping into my lingerie and taking a walk into the countryside to find a discrete spot where I could discard my top clothes and lay in the sun in just a little thong or better still completely naked In the hope of 'scoring' a lovely precum dribblin cock

If you're over 50, I would recommend taking up Walking Football.

There are clubs everywhere these days, it's great exercise and can often have a good social side as well. Matches are usually mixed abilities, and there are plenty of opportunities to play in tournaments or leagues against other teams.

Highly recommended. I used to lay in a hammock look up through the green leaves at the blue sky. Listen to the birds while the hammock moved slightly in the breeze and just drift away into myself. We had to cut the trees down they were old and diseased. I hadn't thought of going out and finding a suitable place. Thank you

I've been in North Africa for the last 17 days. I have a nice breakfast every day, this morning it was a falafel wrap, but I'm really yearning for bacon and decent pork sausages.
