There is no intention to offend those that are lonely. I find these days as I'm now old I seem to like, even go out of my way to be on my own. Just by myself doing whatever I want. Talk to myself be by myself. Does anyone else feel like that ?

I think we all have our own inner Victor Meldrew.

I alone, but certainly not lonely. I engage fully with friends, live my family and do stuff I like when I wanna do it.

I would naturally love to find someone to spend time with, but so many bring or attract drama. My view of this comes from my friends!

I don't want anyone disturbing my peace.

Genuinely there’s is a vast difference between being alone and being lonely.

I live alone (through choice) I drive a lorry at night. I’ve only ever played one team game (football) as I don’t trust others to be at my standard. I don’t watch TV (except sport) or even listen to the radio.

However the downside of that is I can often go two or three days without speaking to anybody except my mum for half an hour. That is when loneliness changes things and it is like being in an echo chamber.

While I'm quite gregarious and can easily make small talk and even get to the core of what gets people going very quickly, I'm also entirely happy with my own company.

I have zero need to be around other people but don't mind when I am.

I feel most alone when I'm surrounded by people. Fake conversations, endless drama, and never knowing who to trust.

Yep totally get it, much rather spend time alone than in crowds. However, sex is always better with others lol

All my working life I was surrounded by people. Bit of a shock when I retired. Got more used to it with the Covid lockdown. Initially then felt lonely and depressed but eventually adjusted to the situation. Now I spend an awful lot of time alone. Can go several days without speaking to anyone. Suits me to an extent although I am a naturally social, chatty sort of guy.

I've always enjoyed my own company, probably the only one who does. 😁

Getting away on your own for a few hours, no talk, no distractions can be very therapeutic.

I don't think id want to be alone all the time, far from it but spend a decent amount of time by yourself and just think about things. It really helps.

I live alone by choice after a bad relationship. Am comfortable with that. For me, better no relationship than another bad one. I have many friends, some gay, some straight, some don't ask. Who I play with is my business. Doesn't mean I'm shagging half the population but I enjoy it when I meet guys.

Some people dread coming home to an empty house, I love it. I like the company of friends a lot, but am also more than happy in my own company.

I love living on my own and love when at home being naked. Sometimes I do find I talk or reason with myself. Most importantly why I love my own space is, I always know where the tv remote is. Pmsl

There are certainly times when I enjoy being in my own and being able to do what I want and when I want. Lockdown meant I had to work from home whereas before I was used to an office environment. Now I'm happy that I can choose company if I wish and also seclude myself away

I feel absolutely the same way, I relish being alone, it’s not a bad thing, some may feel different, but I’m at my happiest when it’s just me, however at times I have needs to be attended to, I think that’s the same for most !

Until thoughts are interrupted by the drone of a helicopter whizzing about overhead or a pack of border collies yapping in the distance… 😏

I absolutely love being on my own and never feel lonely. Being on my own has never stopped me doing any of the things I want to do. Meals, gigs, holidays, I do it all on my own and much prefer it that way.

Being older, I enjoy my own company now.

Quite content to be alone.

Do what I like, when I like, and how I like.

Sick and tired listening to ppl tell me I should be, or shouldn't be, doing this or that.

Fed up with them all.

Thanks to everyone. Kinda beginning to think I got grumpy old git syndrome as I'm getting older .I'm actually quite a sociable person infact some have said a party animal. But therein is the problem sometimes I just want to sit back with my vino and let someone else take the stage. Then I get er what's wrong with you moody. FFS I'm not a entertainment rep xx
