Deciding to buy our current house. It was derelict and needed tonnes of work. Over the rd lived the clerk of works. The help and advice he gave were invaluable. It meant that with his guidance we were able to do far more ourselves and save a fortune. We were able to buy a house in France without selling here. We couldn't have afforded to do that otherwise. So deciding on this particular house from a long list was the best decision we have made

I once joined a motor dealership and it seemed like they forgot they'd given me a job. I sat out in the showroom all day and was pretty much ignored. Went in next morning and jacked. They were quite surprised, except for the sales manager who displomatically agreed with me.

I cleaned my life of toxic people. I had a bad habit of being nice to complete assholes and it often made me the one who suffered.

I cleaned them all out years ago and my life became so much happier and fulfilling.

It's not easy and takes time but worth it in the end 👌👌👌👌

Joining the army which, at the time, had been a bit of a 'spur of the moment' decision as I hadn't previously planned to.

Being offered two similar jobs in 2005 and deciding to accept the right one which I then did for 13 years until I retired.
