Wanted to buy mine this weekend but forecast is down to 4 degrees overnight in Cheshire. Wondering if I'll be wasting my money?

They should be safe enough now. Plus you can always cover them with fleece if there’s a very late frost. Once they’re established they’ll be dale to recover too

I agree a bit of fleece is what I’m covering mine as planted early May whereas I normally do end of May. But even if it gets a bit cold they should survive. Good luck. Send some pics.

Start with a few evergreens for a framework.

It depends really what you like and what your vision is.

Don't get anything that grows too fast if it's a tree or bush.

Why risk it for a couple of weeks, the last thing you want is to buy, plant and then get a frost, give it another couple of weeks yet.

Midge May for down South and End of May for up North and Scotland.
