I met a guy for fun at his place about six weeks ago and we got on very well. We agreed we would do it again soon. My only way to contact him was through an app.

I was taken ill and disappeared from online for four weeks, when I came back he had been messaging me which I obviously never saw. I have now replied but he hasn’t been online since (over a week) and so he is probably thinking im not interested in him when I very much am.

Obviously I know where he lives but I don’t think it’s appropriate to go and knock on his door but do you think it would be weird to send him and short note in the post and just explain the situation and give him my email address for him to contact me if he wants?

If hes not been online, maybe he is on holiday, or busy with something.

I wouldn't contact him beyond the reply on the site. If he never comes on here again or if he ignores your reply cos it took too long to respond write if off as an opportunity missed, but contacting him off the site could go either very well or very badly. Don't take the risk.

Also you don't know whos going to be around him when a letter gets delivered. He wouldn't know it's a personal letter, open it up while he's chatting away to someone....might be fine and he's completely open a out things or he might be with someone who he wouldn't really want knowing.."oh, who's that from ?" and have to think on his feet to cover it.

I mean it's over thinking it and unlikely, but you shouldn't risk him being uncomfortable with something however low the risk is

His impulse to come back online will always be his weakness.

Message him online and leave your phone number or email address. That way it's in his court and it might prevent missing each other.

I've done that in the past and it worked. On that occasion.

The very idea of someone calling in person or dropping a letter to my home is the reason I dare not accommodate.

I've had something like it happen when much younger with a bunny boiler one night stand. Terrifying how quickly your life can implode if this happens.

Only post on here. I'm certain he'll come back when he's able.

NEVER NEVER NEVER approach anyone in real life without permission and pre arrangement.
