"I feel like this site would benefit from a dictionary of definitions to allow the mentally challenged amongst us to understand what people are and are not looking for…." Ever read someone's profile when they've filled it full of strict 'rules & regulations'? It sounds as if your list of definitions would also be along those lines, and it's not for me. I suspect it wouldn't be for many other people either.

"Yep GWM with a GSOH looking for a BBC who likes WS. Definitely no 420, SPH or XD tho." It shows how pervasive this type of language is though. I know what all that means, and I'm no expert on urban language😏

"GPO. IRA. ASDA. RAC & AA" In the United States, an IRA (Individual Retirement Account) is a personal tax-advantaged savings and investment account used to build wealth for retirement. Back in the early '80s, the News of The World got hold of some McDonald's payslips from the US, with IRA deductions shown, and ran a story, without proper checks, saying that they were funding the Irish Republican Army.

"GPO. IRA. ASDA. RAC & AA In the United States, an IRA (Individual Retirement Account) is a personal tax-advantaged savings and investment account used to build wealth for retirement. Back in the early '80s, the News of The World got hold of some McDonald's payslips from the US, with IRA deductions shown, and ran a story, without proper checks, saying that they were funding the Irish Republican Army. If the News of the World ran the story it must have been true!!! and the press bitch about government interference in their freedom!!!" This is from a New York Times article: 'For several months rumors have circulated in Britain and the U.S. that McDonald's, the fast-food chain, has given financial support to the Irish Republican Army through Noraid, the I.R.A.'s North American fund-raising group. McDonald's itself couldn't figure where the implausible charge came from, and denied it flatly at every opportunity. But the rumor, and the mystery, persisted. Now The Economist of London has tracked it down. One of its sleuths discovered that, some time back, on a financial talk show carried by the Cable News Network, McDonald's was cited for its generosity in contributing to employees' Individual Retirement Accounts - commonly called I.R.A.'s on this side of the Atlantic. But CNN can be viewed overseas now, via satellite, and in Britain I.R.A. means something else entirely. Mystery solved. Rumor quashed. But not the cautionary question: Is the world really ready for modern telecommunications?'
