If I wanted to book a hotel for group fun and be used is it wrong to ask attendees to contribute to cost of the room? How would you react if asked up front?

I would discuss it up front with the 10 guys who promise to attend and then fail to turn up

The room would need paying for regardless of how many actual turned up so you would need to be able to cover the cost of the room just in case no one showed up. If you choose to book a room because you want fucking by multiple guys then that is down to what you want and wouldn’t really be fair asking others to pay. Would be different if it was just 2 of you trying to arrange a meet and the only option for both was a hotel room then yes possibly go half’s but again who ever books the room must be prepared to pay for it just incase the other didn’t show up.

Thanks for the feedback and yes totally get that, it was more me organising group fun and a place for people who couldn't accom to come and play together, I used to go to a well organised thing like this in London and people stuck £10 in the glass and it covered the room cost for whoever booked this was all pre COVID and I just wondered what people's thoughts are now , thanks for replying though I do appreciate it all feedback is good
