"Slightly not on subject of my own post, but Southampton get thrown out for Cheating after 1 weeks investigation. Man City have well over 100 aligations of cheating and the verdict should have been delivered months ago. It makes you wonder why a week for Southampton, yet a year for Man City. Football stinks these days." The Man City saga has taken way too long. Let's hope they get some serious punishment, and not just stripping of titles they previously won.

Must be taking a back hander for not turning up tonight and handing the title to the cheating twats along with their Lego manager.

It's a very simple game, not exactly chess.

If it’s that simple then why you take it up and become a millionaire in your late teens / early twenties ?

"Fully justified there is no room for cheats in football whatsoever!! Tell that to the FA over mans city" The FA have been investigating man city for over 5 years now and nothing... The EFL investigate Southampton and it's done and dusted in 11 days. Now I'm not saying there is any particular reason that the FA are scared of upsetting man city but it does seem a little suspicious as they weren't scared to charge Everton a couple of years back when Everton were charged with similar things as many city.

"Manchester City 115 charges no punishment " They haven't been proven yet, so no punishment. I think it's due within the next couple of months, still a long time since investigations started. No doubt their lawyers will kick up a fuss and cause the whole thing to go on for a few more years.

"as a Southampton fan i feel like certain individuals should be held accountable for their actions. yes we cheated and ive lost faith and trust in the club. however of the teams we spyed on we drew 2 and lost 1 against them. therefore we didn't gain an advantage. this is the darkest saga in the clubs history. do i feel the its right to put Middlesbrough into the league final. no I don't think its fair. the only fair option after chucking Southampton out would be to give hull the promotion. however i feel that this drama isnt over yet. i fear the FA will get involved and bring charges against the individuals in question. we the fans need answers and i feel that the only way they are going to come is through the FA" You cheated, not once but three times thats not a mistake but 100% cheating. How many times have you not been caught ?? As a supporter of one of the clubs you spyed. Dry ya eyes and take your punishment

" The trouble The EFL have in controlling clubs is that fans of clubs don't want their club controlling , they want the best forward the best midfielder despite the cost , then when it goes wrong they blame The EFL , this is the same problem the new football regulator is going to face , maybe the vote taken by clubs restricting the amount clubs can spend based on their income may help , but at the moment I suspect some clubs are hanging on by a thread

"I think it's the correct decision. They did it 3 times and if they won promotion no fine will bother them with the millions they will make from tv" Exactly the point. They broke the rules blatantly. The football league could not impose a financial penalty based on potential premier league earnings and nor could they impose a points penalty if they were promoted.

"So apparently when Ipswich came down to play them they used Eastleigh's ground as a training pitch before the game against Southampton...and Southampton had someone there as well dressed as a Eastleigh fc groundsman spying... if true then they reap what they sow... " They also spied on the Oxford team. To my mind if they were doing it for a game against Oxford, they were probably spying on every single team in the league and haven't admitted to it all yet.

It’s not expensive (especially in soccer terms) to put up screens etc to shield the more tactical parts of training. It happens/happened in the NFL where planning for opponents is much more precise… many teams have huge indoor complexes.

"Think the punishment is a little harsh, but at least the football league has some balls unlike the money grabbing Premier league. The way they have avoided City and given Chelsea a little slap on the wrist is disgraceful. Chelsea were paying back handers to everyone ffs. Compare that to the way Everton were treated is a disgrace. everton were told intrest payments on the stadium build wouldnt count, then they changed the rules and they did - corrupt as feck the PL i do feel sorry for the Southampton fans, hotels booked, trains and coaches booked. And tbh, how much info can you get by spying on a team training that you dont already know about them" Could have watched MOTD…or something
