"Anyone know any places that you can camp and fish for a couple of nights and rules and regulations please daughter talked me into taking grandkids they are getting into fishing. Like I know zilch about fishing. HELP xx " Honestly if you’re really new to this then start them on a telescopic pole. Don’t worry about reels until they’re a little competent as you’ll be spending the whole day undoing knots. Read books and google. Go to a local tackle shop and ask them for the ideal location to catch minnows just to keep them interested. Honestly I started on Bath canal in 1978 and I still love it.

Don’t worry about the camping as it’s boring at night for children. Licences don’t apply for (I believe) under 12 but you will need one. Get it from official government site as there are a lot of scammers.

Or there’s a little farm in Pulloxhill where I used to take my four sons. The main part is to go somewhere that is full of fish just to keep their interest.
