They’re actually not that good for you according to my dentist.

When I gave up smoking 25 years ago I started eating a lot more fruit and veg. My dentist at the time suggested that apples are good but not daily as the sugar in them is bad for your teeth over the course of a day.

My dentist said similar, although for a while I really had a thing for eating different apple varieties, especially some of the local varieties. Didn't change the way I brushed my teeth at all, yet the dentist seemed to pick up that something dietary had changed.

I also started eating some dried fruit like prunes, dried apple, pineapple, mango, apricots etc to up my fibre and increase the fruit consumption.
