Masculinity Still Matters to Some Men

Nothing against trans people or anyone living their life how they want. But a lot of gay men are into men — masculine men — not lingerie, frills, or forced feminisation.

If that’s your thing, fair enough, but not everybody wants to see it all over hookup apps and gay spaces. Some of us are just looking for regular guys.

Yes we are. But isn’t a leather bar just the same? Most of them dressed as bikers but almost all of them came by bus or car. It’s a preference. What is good about fab guys is it is a space for everyone and as such attracts a broader base.

I found some of the more niche sites worse. I like bears and chubby men, but found the sites that cater to them far less successful.

I’ve had chasers insist I find them attractive. I’ve not had a cross dresser on here do that.

Hopefully not. It’s just a preference, I’m not interested in drama, just being honest about preferences.

Maybe Fab should make a website aimed towards the guys like knickers and trans. I have nothing against them, it's just not what guys want to see.

It’s not my cup of Darjeeling, either, but I sure as hell wouldn’t start a thread about it, any more than I would question why guys are attracted to Leather Queens or football kit or Pup Play or a thousand other interests that are of no interest to ME!

Use your energies to focus on the stuff that you like and not to disparage other guys’ preferences.

I agree. I get off on wearing lingerie and adopting the femme/bottom role but i'm into men, real masculine men that know exactly what to do with someone like me.

*the above should not dissuade other lingerie clad lovelies from getting in touch.

Don’t get why it bothers so many people, and why does it affect guys anyway not being into lingerie or whatever. If you don’t like it then move on, simple. Granted I’m not into it either but It doesn’t affect my life. Who says “a lot of gay men are into men masculine men”?

No wonder people feel isolated and segregated in the gay community at times. Just wish people would leave people to get on and do what they fuck they want to do and wear they want.

Again, who says that nobody wants to see it all over hookup sites and gay spaces?

Exactly.

What ever happened to tolerance and inclusivity?

Give me a man in jeans and t-shirt any day. No pretence, nothing fake, nothing contrived, nothing cartoon. I'm glad the fetish dressers appeal to some, but goodness me, they look the opposite of sexy to me.

There's nothing in the OP post that is disparaging to you or others who dress, he merely stated its not for him. There was teally no need for you to comment negatively. Doesn’t the dressing community continually tell the non-dresser guys to "just skip over it" or "just move on" when they see something they don't like or don't agree with? It works both ways.

Is it a minority though ?

I reckon there are more guys on here who either dress themselves, or else like others who dress, than there are masculine men who like other strictly masculine looking men.

Everyone is entitled to their preferences. Gay men who like men aren’t going to be interested in people who present as female. That’s why the site has filters, then people can use it to suit their own likes and filter out people that don’t interest them x

Really? Preferring masculine men to crossdressers or effeminate men is nothing to do with political persuasion. It's who you are and how you feel. Although I do think Nigella Farage would look even uglier with make-up and a dress
