Fitness trackers that aren't Fitbits

Since Google bought Fitbit the service the watches provide has gone down the toilet. This week they're updating all the Fitbits to Google Health. Mine has made the move over and it's just not useable anymore. The interface is horrednous and it's so hard to get the data you want in a simple way.

What fitness trackers do others have? Is there a decent Garmin that does the trick that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

I use the one built in to the Apple Watch Ultra and what it provides via its app and the watch but again it costs an arm and a leg but had it 3 yrs now and it’s been faultless.

I downloaded an app called StepsApp from the Apple Store it’s quite basic but does the job for me 👍

XIAOMI Smart Band 10, around £36 on Amazon, battery lasts for 21 days before it needs to be recharged. I had the Smart Band 9 previously which lasted over 2 years.

As well as the everyday step count, calories burned and time moving, it has loads of other options. I use it for various gym exercises and also when swimming.

It's obvious but do a bit of research as well...I've seen some tests... Michael Moseley type health programs, gadget show etc ....and it's quite surprising how varied the readings can be between models, and also compared to the medical equipment used to gauge them. Obviously there's going to be variation and these are consumer devices, but some were terrible.

I thought the Swiss made the best watches.

Garmin is good. I've used the Venu 3 since about three or four years ago. It's lasted well and tracks fitness nicely. Previously used Fitbit, Samsung and Apple Watch but settled on Venu 3. There's a #4 out now so the 3 will be cut price.

I use the free Addidas app for walking, running and cycling. Its better than any other's I've found.
