So, I'll be 26 in June and I've noticed a huge decrease in meets from when I was 18-23 and now. I seem to have plenty of guys "interested" but not enough to want to meet me, even people with 5 miles.

It always seems as though people on here are waiting for the next best thing, and as a fairly average guy I'm never going to be someone's first pick.

Have I expired now or is it just my self-esteem convincing me?

At 26! Really? Just like life, it’s down to how much interaction you have on here and also the realistic values you are expecting out of a potential meet. Try posting more, start conversations, you have a great bio, I can’t see why you seem to feel like you’re being ignored. Ask yourself what are you really expecting from this site, I chat with a lot of guys, if a strong and connected dialogue doesn’t happen, there’s a 99% chance any kind of meet will not happen. You have to allow for the hormonal interactions too, often the recipient has his knob in hand wanking over the text and images, which will never translate to the a real world meet.

Often I see the guys who state they don’t want to chat, or post images and fill out their bios with the bare minimum, in my view if that’s too much of an effort, then it’s really isn’t going to happen.

I’m a 59 old fart, so meets can be sporadic between the day job, but I always work on the long term, eventually something will click. It’s all about mind set.

Perhaps you've 'exhausted' your area. Think I did with mine. When I joined this site about 15 years ago, I worked most evenings and weekends. However I was still averaging one meet a week for the first couple of years. Some were repeat meets as well. Then it seemed to go down to one every month or two. The last few years they've been as rare as unicorns.

I think that unless you live in a large city with loads of hotels the chances are most local people will have seen your profile already and decided if they want to make contact, therefore as time goes by you will get fewer guys interested.
