Thanks guys, the guy who contacted me has a long standing account on Fabswingers with a long history of verifications, and since posting this we have had a lot of back and forth messages with and it seems we knew some of the same people back in the 1980s, he seems a genuine guy. I'm still not happy about meeting his mate though, not without knowing anything about him.
