I know lots on prep, but still need checking for STI’s if your promiscuous on here.

I totally agree. Three monthly checks are important and free from various sources.

Agreed but I do wonder if it is now 'the norm' for so many people that they just don't bother mentioning the fact. For those of us on Prep or Doxyprep it just happens and life goes on

Just worry about yourself.

It's always been that way. I'm on all that I can, jabbed for all I can to protect myself. That means you're protected too.

Postal test every 6mos, on the in between bloods taken at the GUM. So tested every 3mos.

What _uperted said. If you're looking after yourself, it does not matter what other people do. If someone is on prep they are testing a bare minimum of every 6 months, but whether they are actually on prep is none of my business and has nil impact on me. The prevalence of bi men who do not get tested at all is worrying, not for me as I look after myself, but for the other men and women they fuck with including their wife. STIs are like a pyramid scheme.

This is exactly what my sexual health clinic tells me. They say they see vast numbers of gay men who take prep and get tested regularly, but they can’t get through to the married bi men. And from my experience this is true. I see a couple of married men who take cock bare and don’t take prep and hardly ever get tested. One guy I used to fuck was in a long term relationship, never took prep, never got tested and took bare cock regularly. When I questioned him about his choices his exact word were, “I’m a bottom. The chances of a top having HIV, or anything else, is pretty remote”. The mind boggles.

If you get your prep from a clinic you’ll need to be checked as part of the process. It seems people on here get upset if you mention getting tested on your profile.

So I don’t worry what others are doing I look out for myself.

Test every three months regardless of how "active" I am - haven't had any sexual contact with anyone since September last year, yet still tested November, February and a couple of weeks ago.

Will also always ask potential meets their own testing habits - know it doesn't prove anything but the answer in itself can be quite revealing
