Is this a news update piece of information? Or are you trying to stir sum more things up? Because anyone in the LGBTQI community should be aware of bigotry and racism and othering not to wish it on anyone let alone those that cannot answer.

According to the Government's official web site recent arrival numbers are:

May 22nd - 394

May 23rd - 287

May 24th - 231

May 25th - 77

So, 989 in total.

It's got nothing to do with racism!! Why deal that card everytime someone mentions people from other countries? If they want to come here fine with me, but follow the correct procedure and not just pay for a place on a small boat.

The correct procedure for any genuine refugee is to claim asylum in the first "safe" country they get to after escaping. Clearly if you're getting on a boat in France (safe country) to come to the UK then you have abused the system. So why come to the UK? Free NHS, free benefits, housing etc etc, opportunity to find work (legal or otherwise) be with kin etc etc. It's not racist to challenge the actions of these people, the UK is under enough pressure to support its residents as it is. The Australian system is that anyone claiming refugee status is dealt with either off shore or in detention centres, if you are genuine then you get to stay and good luck to you. Let's be honest about this, most of the "refugees" are young men looking for a better life but wanting to by-pass the legal migration routes. Very few actual genuine refugees land here and those that do, are more than welcome

The subject of illegal immigrants/dinghy people comes up time and time again on here. Quite a controversial subject. Are they genuine asylum seekers. Virtually every political party promises to solve the pr or just economic migrants hoping for a cushy life? Who knows. The fact they are still arriving is the main platform for the Faragite party to keep drumming up support.

They assist them here and given them a phone and a coach trip to a hotel whilst they’re being ‘processed’ if you spend your life reading the Daily Fail or The Scum or watching the BBC you’d NEVER understand the REAL news.

Which is in itself rather a good case for ending the people-trafficking, isn't it?

PS (@ someone else) If we don't know whether they're illegal or not the fact that they've paid £000's to a criminal gang for a dangerous trip in an overloaded rubber boat in order to avoid immigration controls might serve as a vague clue...

It’s hard to stop when the people supposedly stopping it I.E. The government are actively supporting them coming over here.

There are guys in France actively slashing the dinghies that are RETURNING daily to France empty just to be refilled. FACT.

IF the government were serious they’d do two simple things.

1, put the navy in the channel.

2, stop giving our money to them.

As others have said, the figures are true and taken from an official government website.

Yes, we see a lot of shit posted on this subject both for and against, but the fact is that they are costing us taxpayers millions, and it needs to be stopped.

The actual figure is 989 people over 4 days, May 22 to May 25. How the fuck does this enrich our lives?

Source? Did you even look it up yourself?

Let's assume it was The Guardian; it usually is.

And just a little context is missing here: why did the boats start increasing ? Oh yes. Lorries started getting searched a bit more efficiently.

Also:

"The authorities have suggested that the boat route was only used sporadically until 2018 when arrivals

increased. For example, only 15 people were reported as being detected during 20143.

6. However, Home Office information shows that 150,000 migrants were encountered at Calais, Coquelles

and Dunkirk attempting to pass clandestinely through the juxtaposed border controls between 2016 and

2019, with just over half of these (or 81,000) attempting to access the UK via Calais. This will include many

people attempting to come here via lorry."

So, if you voted Remain don't on any account find this document:

Maybe op and people who agree with the broad sentiment are genuine, but I prefer to fantasise about the self hating secretly gay right wing bully boys - they must have some very confusing fantasies about ten or so Iraqi lads squirting man juice in to their open mouths one after another.

Makes me wonder, are there any reformed gay bashers on here now scrabbling around for meets and wank fun like the rest of us? (you can usually spot the actual wanna be gay bashers).

Glad you read that far. Did you actually follow the link?

If you didn't, please try and accustom yourself to the idea that the main route before 2018 wasn't by boat but by lorry.

And that the majority of detected illegal immos weren't picked up at the border on entry, but after having dispersed in the country. Some of them. Counting them as they step ashore doesn't leave much room for guesswork, picking them up randomly does.

Certainly Brexit hugely increased legal migration from non EU countries. Illegal migration? Look at the bit after "15".

That was BEFORE Brexit. Being in the EU didn't make it harder for illegals to get to Calais, did it?

It's not a simple picture.

Arriving in the UK on a boat as an undocumented asylum seeker is not in any way illegal. If it was they would be arrested on the beaches.

Brexit removed the ability to return immigrants under the Dublin III agreement so you can blame Nigel Fartage for that

I am glad you said that. Since brexit immigration control has literally collapsed and when we were part of the EU we were able to send illegals to their last point of entry. Unfortunately Reform (aka UkIp, Brexit Party) don’t want you to know that (as well as the ultra rich donors who have everyone’s interests at heart).

One of my ancestors was a Viking who arrived on a longboat & then had sex with local women. About 1200 years ago.

Britain is an island.

I'm fairly relaxed about people arriving in small boats but Im concerned about them being exploited by trafficers.

If I may… as a brown person…

1. Brexit added to this issue of illegal undocumented people arriving to the uk. If you voted for Brexit and didn’t understand the Dublin Agreement.. then that’s on you.. you contributed to this.

2. The UKs political parties are a complete sham… none can agree or deal with this effectively. Reform won’t either….

3. People of colour, like myself don’t need to continually hear the mild racism that comes knocking whenever this topic comes up… millions of us have been here all our lives and work, pay taxes, are second or third generation here…

Let’s keep it real…

Unfortunately Reform (aka UkIp, Brexit Party) don’t want you to know that (as well as the ultra rich donors who have everyone’s interests at heart). "

since blair we have done he- haw about the illegals or legals coming into Britain , it’s a joke to blame all our ills on Brexit , blair could of signed us up for transitioning policies on free movement but didn’t , other eu members did so the poorer new states to the eu knew where they could screw the welfare system of a leftist free for all government

"1000 illegal boat immigrants entered the UK over past few days. According to Goverment figures

Fake news

True actually!

No it’s not true !

At best it’s a guesstimate

That’s how many the suspect may have entered

The true figure is unknown for every immigrant they catch the claim is a minimum of 5 get through untraced

Where does the 1 in 5 figure come from ? "

Erm it doesn’t! The bit that says it is unknown sort of tells you it’s not factual

It is long overdue that the very notion of claiming asylum was ditched. Asylum has a place for those in genuine need, amd they can, and do, claima asylum in the country of origin, but the vast majority simply abuse it to the cost of the ultra-liberal west, Europe in particular. Claiming asylum has become far too easy and the British bureaucracy couldn't cope. Just send them back straight away.

"If I may… as a brown person…

Let’s keep it real… "

. No one on here with a single brain cell is against anyone like yourself, or anyone of colour. Family like you are absolutely entitled to live here and are welcome.

It's about our economy, the growing concern on the streets. Massive Protests etc and the current lack of answers from a shambolic goverment

What utter bollocks. Asylum is far from easy to obtain in the UK and there are no clear and safe routes for those who want to claim asylum, leaving illegal entry as the only real option. When you say 'just send them back straight away' I can only assume you mean those who have a genuine claim of escape from persecution as well as so-called economic migrants as both kinds enter on the small boats. And that just reeks of bigotry and racism. Great to see it here in a community that seems to have forgotten the historical bigotry of fascists and other ignorants towards the gays. Not.

The boats really became a problem(for some) once the wonderful gift of brexit was given to us. The return policy with the EU was torn up. Shambolic government?. Where was everybody for the 14 years of "austerity", lies, sleaze, corruption with the Tories, not only shambolic but criminal. Mind you, you can always vote for honest Nigel or one of his wonderful MPs.

"Is this a news update piece of information? Or are you trying to stir sum more things up? Because anyone in the LGBTQI community should be aware of bigotry and racism and othering not to wish it on anyone let alone those that cannot answer.

It's got nothing to do with racism!! Why deal that card everytime someone mentions people from other countries? If they want to come here fine with me, but follow the correct procedure and not just pay for a place on a small boat.

So please explain the correct procedure

Very few actual genuine refugees land here and those that do, are more than welcome"

After Brexit (taking back control) the UK left the Dublin Accord.

While we were in the Dublin Accord we could send 100% of illegal migrants back to The Calais Camp.

Once we left we could not.

When Farage was challenged about this in 2016 he laughed and said it would not happen.

Voting Brexit and leaving the Single Market and The EU has resulted in us abiding by The UNs refugee rules.

It will anger Leave voters, but after January 2020 we could not send the boats back.

Simple as that.

Did you notice the Calais Camp has now gone ?

Farage will not stop the boats either.Hows he going to do that ?

Leave the UN ?

Nato ?

The EHRC ?

The smugglers are too powerful and clever for him.

You will never stop drugs coming into the country.

You will struggle to stop people.

You dont get to call anyone racist for having a view that isnt so left and liberal as yours. We all know the vast majority of people arriving on boats are not genuine asylum seekers, and are instead economic migrants, and its really easy to distinguish and discuss these in separation from the genuine asylum seekers. These cretins know that once they get here the govt is absolutely useless at removing them from GB. And yes, claiming asylum in the country of origin or the 1st safe country, is easy, and genuine asylum seekers dont need to be in GB to claim asylum here. We are an island, we are a soft touch and our governments have bowed to liberal melts. Now the situation is a numbers game, a game the government, and most European govts have no game plan for winning, and a game the British people are fed up with because they see the consequences on the streets. GB has become a dumping ground for the world's chancers and takers. Defending British values and way of life is not racist. Ignoring the needs of the British is.

"1000 illegal boat immigrants entered the UK over past few days. According to Goverment figures"

So, there were 14 boats in total... and honestly, no one can really claim they’re all illegal, which definitely makes that fake news. Someone also said they need to apply for a visa first, and I can’t help but laugh at that comment—it really shows the level of understanding here. If asylum seekers are genuine, they’re usually fleeing from war or a dictatorship that wants to capture and harm them for their opposition. So how on earth are they supposed to apply for a passport from a country that’s trying to kill them just to get a UK visa? Seriously, think before you write stuff like that, Mickey. Asylum seekers can apply in any safe country they choose. The guy who suggested they should apply in France is just talking nonsense because international law allows them to claim asylum in any country they want. They can travel all across Europe and still apply in the UK. And the UK needs to handle that. There's no doubt that Starmer is pretty useless, and it has nothing to do with Reform UK.

I said plenty here because I've seen plenty of other people pull you up on your rampant, endless bigotry, it's far from just me and let us not forget that you started all this, not me (and I know you'll claim that's untrue but you have about as many qualms about telling untruths as your hero Spaffer as you have demonstrated repeatedly)

If you want to talk childlike how about someone in his late sixties who uses 'lol' such as that time you said "I'm sorry about your disability LOL"? Your words, verbatim.

And how many times have I had to correct your snidey nlittleinferences that I don't work? I've long since lost count of the number of times I've corrected you on that but once again it demonstrates that you look down (again ironically) on those out of work as lesser people.

Anyway, there is nothing wrong with my work ethic. I've been up since 4:25 this morning and at work since 6 so shove your smug condescension up your arse.

I'm going to quote you again here word for word - " The working class are always trying to screw US over" Who is this "us" that you think you belong to?

Unlike you I'm just not prepared to trample over other people in order to further my own interests. It may limit how far I can go but my conscience is clear and to quote a song that I like "I don't want to have it all, I just want to have enough". And I do. I'm content with that. What you demonstrate looks awfully like greed and avarice.

Have a nice day, my break time is over now and I have to get back to work.

Absolutely, the boat people are a red herring with regard to undesirable immigration. Most enter the UK via dubious legal routes, i.e. fake jobs and college courses, claiming false relative status and a mirriade of other reasons just to get here and then disappear into the third world style black economy. The UK is fecked!

If a foreign national, surroptisishly turns up on a country's beach with no documentation and won't state their nationality or country origin... then if that's not illegal, then it damb well should be! What ever UK politicians made that legal... then they should be arrested and charged with treason! Common sense appears to be missing here!

This is an excellent question. The only solution to this issue is to enhance the safety and wealth of countries that are currently in dire situations. Western nations plus nasty China and Russia by supporting terrorist regimes such as Iran, the Taliban, and other dictatorial governments merely for access to inexpensive oil and gas, inadvertently drive more individuals to flee these nations. The inhabitants of these nations do not reap the advantages of their own natural resources, prompting them to flee from these corrupt governments in search of a better life and to avoid potential harm. Otherwise, why would individuals choose to leave their homeland if they enjoyed a satisfactory standard of living? This situation is a direct result of unfavourable agreements with corrupt administrations.

My local council is asking landlords to rent their properties at £1000 a month above going rate to house economic migrants.

I have heard other councils doing same.

Fake news . keep your blinkers on. Take your bigotry elsewhere like the daily mail or better still protest outside 10 Downing Street and see how far you get ..

Your a sad troll on here. Have been for three years. Had you serve bans in the past.

Now I just mock you"

I am sorry if I have offended you but some of you comment on here are a bit over the top perhaps take up the bitterness towards the present government else were like your local MP .

Economic immigrants? The government does not give free houses to economic immigrants, and they are generally ineligible for social housing or standard welfare benefits. But if they are legal Then the landlords have a choice, no one is forcing them to accept it. You never know who might end up damaging your home. Many people pay less, but when they move out, you could end up spending 2000 pounds to fix all the damage. Immigrants are human too; they’re generally good people, just like anyone else. Just because they’re immigrants doesn’t mean they’re bad. Do you realize how many immigrants contribute taxes to the UK economy and help it grow? Do you really think the country could run smoothly without their support? Absolutely not.

There is good and bad immigration. Certain sectors rely very heavily on good immigration. The NHS for instance. A few years ago the Faragista Party Mk 1 aka UKIP, was making a big fuss about immigration from Eastern Europe which, at the time, was keeping the hospitality trade, care homes and some sectors of farming going. Admittedly they weren't turning up out of the blue on small boats.

The boats are a problem whether genuine asylum seekers or economic migrants. They are expecting to be fed and housed before they can be processed and absorbed into the system whereby they can house themselves, take legitimate jobs and pay taxes etc. So I can understand peoples resentment and why the Faragista Party Mk 3 aka Reform, are making such a big issue about it.

I disagree with your statement because you can't just lump everyone together and decide who's good and who's not. I remember watching a BBC documentary about a guy from a Western European country who was cloning credit cards. When the authorities searched his house, it turned out he was part of a gang that had been living in the UK for a long time. The idea that a genuine asylum seeker is just looking for food and money is completely ridiculous; no one can honestly make that claim.

Perhaps I expressed myself badly. I was mainly implying that the economic migrants were expecting to be fed and housed and, sadly, they are the ones who will not contribute to society if allowed to stay as probably have few skills or works ethics.

Genuine asylum seekers are a different mater but then you have to ask why have they travelled through several safe countries and risked a channel crossing to get here?

So the way to stop the boats is to make the UK inhospitable. No free healthcare, no housing support, no social support. Make it so you work until you drop dead

After all it’s completely stopped illegal immigration in the USA.

That's fair enough, i cant really answer that. The only thing that comes to mind is the language but the risk is still so high for channel crossing.

. Why do we have to do extreme on a problem which is actually very serious?

We already have a million young people in the UK today not in work.

So those who say it's wrong to control immigration, calling racist, cruel, uncaring, not Christian( like one idiot on here) can answer me this, Is it acceptable that we add to the problem of one million of our young people unemployed ? Happy there on the scrap heap?.

"Quite agree, was at a big theme park yesterday and it was hard to tell I was in Britain, immigration is a bigger problem then we are told.

Why was it hard to tell? Were all the signs in a foreign language? Or do you just mean there were a few people there not the same colour as you? Always useful to know who the racists are on here so they can be avoided.

Yes I was thinking that! How did the poster know the nationalities of the people there. Was he asking them? Or ... did he base his observation on the colour of their skin? Oh dear

Well let me give you a hint the majority of Europe are whites especially the west of Europe so when you see people of a different skin colour that is a good indicator that they are most likely not from your country, that is fact and common sense 🤔 "

Non-whites and notably people of African descent have been living on these islands since Roman times. Your family might well be descended from Normans or Danes which would make you the more recent immigrant, historically. I doubt there is anyone on this entire site who can guarantee that they are descended from 'pure' Anglo ancestors. So you are basically talking out of your unReformed arse. Skin colour tells us nothing on its own about whether someone is a 20th/21st century immigrant or if their history as a Briton is actually longer than many white Britons. What it's highlighting does tell us, however, is the xenophobic nature of those who remark on it. And xenophobia is basically just a more refined way of saying racism.

Anyway, can't be arsed to waste any more time on this ridiculous 'discussion' on a fucking sex hook up site.

True actually!

No it’s not true !

At best it’s a guesstimate

That’s how many the suspect may have entered

The true figure is unknown for every immigrant they catch the claim is a minimum of 5 get through untraced

Where does the 1 in 5 figure come from ?

Erm it doesn’t! The bit that says it is unknown sort of tells you it’s not factual "

If you had 50 thousand people a year coming over in boats from Northern Europe with no identity and no money, the public would still complain at the high cost of supporting these people.

It isn't all about race. The sheer amount of money needed to support all this makes ordinary folk feel neglected and important.

When government are demanding more and more tax in a time of high inflation, it's totally ok to question their priorities on spending.

Mostly they onward travel to the US - it’s easier to do this from the UK and gives a chance to improve on the language. Either way on boats - 3% of immigration is not usually subjected to such importance, but the politics of division know that the ‘number of boats’ is going to be harder to control, especially as they were launched from another jurisdiction which we have little skin in the game with anymore. It takes away the sheer explosion in the numbers of immigration since Brexit was introduced.

So you reckon an illegal immigrant to the UK then has a better chance of making it to the USA? How does that work?

And yes, its absolutely right that we focus on that 3% as the other 97% of immigration tends to be self-supporting and/or joining families legitimately. That 3% costs the tax payer a lot of our money.

Now I’m an immigrant in France, our daughter is an immigrant in Belgium, my parents were immigrants from Ireland, my bigger family are immigrants in the US, Canada, Australia, Italy, Spain……

Like all immigrants we’re always moving on but we’re rarely called immigrants! Got posher named like ex-pats (what the f**k does that mean anyway) and others.

We’re mostly white, educated but none of us asked the people we emigrated too if they wanted us, we just went!

The debate will go on forever. However the fact remains that during good weather approx 1000 people, mainly young men, are coming over uninvited, by small boats, every week. That is a whole village. Perhaps they are genuine or perhaps they are not. Whilst being processed the government has to house and feed them which in turn is a burden on the taxpayers. Until they are processed they cannot work, integrate or contribute to the country. Most political parties are aware that this is a major problem. Plus some parties--like Reform--keep highlighting it and using it as the main platform to stir up feeling and gain support. It's a difficult one and a problem that does not seem to have an easy solution and won't go away.

If you engage in self-reflection and examine the issue from a broader perspective, it becomes evident that the root of the problem lies with the majority of UK residents rather than the rubber boats. Shouldn't we implement a law that compels young individuals to seek employment, regardless of whether their qualifications align with the job requirements? We should reduce the financial support they receive without justification and observe how this motivates them to return to work. Furthermore, we should not provide additional financial assistance to those who show little concern for low-income salaries; this should be completely eliminated. Retirement funds do not materialise from thin air, so it is essential to acknowledge that the nation requires immigrants to enhance and advance the system. We must not impose an absurd points system for them that is unattainable for most individuals seeking qualification. For instance, a minimum annual salary of £40,000 for qualification? Are you serious? Who in England meets that requirement ? Moreover, they are responsible for their own healthcare costs; I certainly would not consider coming under such conditions. If you collectively put in the effort and work diligently, you would not witness any boats arriving on this island. Complaining does not yield solutions; do not lament about rubber boats while you are at home watching television, smoking cigarettes, and surrounded by eight children, with no one willing to work and complaining about council delays in payments. Eliminate this behaviour, and in three to four years, you will not see any boats.

"1000 illegal boat immigrants entered the UK over past few days. According to Goverment figures

Fake news

True actually!

I believe they're all heading to Carlisle. "

Nope, all being sent to Glasgow, the Capital of immigrant UK.

The Government plans to breed out, and get rid of Glaswegians by over- populating Glasgow with immigrants.

It's working too, if you walk down Buchanan street at the weekend try spotting a white.

Why does it bother you so much? How does it directly affect your life?

This country was built by immigrants over the last 2,000 years.

Oh dear

Well let me give you a hint the majority of Europe are whites especially the west of Europe so when you see people of a different skin colour that is a good indicator that they are most likely not from your country, that is fact and common sense 🤔

Buzz word Buzz word something something racism, Here is another lack of common sense person i was talking about. He is equating a hand full of blacks to entire populations of whites and you said it yourself they are Africans (you know what that means) fine whatever there have been a hand full of blacks in the country for 1000s of years so what, what has that to do with modern times where 3rd world savages who don't even speak our language are invading our countries taking it's resources and committing crimes some of which i am not allowed to mention on this site?

And if you are trying to convince anyone that Europe countries are not white countries you are delusional

What you're saying is exactly how the Irish were thought of a 150 years ago learn your history shame on you. "

Nice attempt to grandstand, even of the Irish were treated bad we integrated into the countries we entered, we helped with it's successes whereas these people come from countries where their cultures are stuck in the middle ages. And guess what these illegals aren't going to integrate, they aren't going to work. If they were they wouldn't make their own districts trying to inact their own laws but then again if you know your history you would know that. But go ahead support your child marrying illegal 3rd worlders invading your country also you might want to look at where these people came from and what they would do to you if you were in their country before you blindly defend them

The law refusing to prosecute illegals and foriegn gangsters and releasing those who did commit crimes do not equate to Falling crime rate, Thats like if you made all illegal drugs legal and then bragging that drug related crimes have plummeted to 0

Why not do both? Why cant we worry about the people in our country that dont want to work and also combat illegal migration?

It is factually true though.

If you look at numbers of young children attending early education where English is not their main language, Glasgow has higher percentages. 35% , sometimes more depending on the exact area.

This is why it's important to fund early learning properly. 20 years ago the bill was 1.5 bn . Now it's well over £10bn.

But it's needed if we are going to do mass migration properly.

Walk down the city centre of Glasgow and the stench of cannabis is all around, plus you have to avoid getting run over from blacks cycling on the pavements

It is a fact how bad the Irish were treated here in Britain. Both my Grandfathers and my Father have told me things that the public as well as the authorities did. You would not have the Railways or your canals if it wasnt for "Paddy". Guy i know goes on the anti immigrant marches, his parents and family are from Cork, figure that out, because i cant.

If you successfully handle the initial issue, you will not encounter the problem of boats; they will have no opportunity to secure low-income employment, thereby failing to integrate into the system and remain with their families. Consequently, the government will not be required to provide assistance to any economic migrants. Thus, in this regard, they receive nothing and subsequently return by boat once more.

The UK should copy Australia

.

Australia "stopped the boats" primarily through Operation Sovereign Borders (OSB), a military-led border security operation launched in 2013, which included intercepting boats and turning them back to Indonesia. The policy, aimed at preventing asylum seekers from reaching Australia, involved a combination of harsh deterrence measures: turning boats back, transferring passengers to offshore detention centers in Nauru and Papua New Guinea, and declaring that no boat arrivals would be resettled in Australia

. Yes we had Rwanda. Ready to go and paid for. But labour constantly blocked it in courts until the election. Now it's open borders for anyone. Most get allowed to stay. Makes figures look good

I dispute the previous post that the country was 'built by immigrants over the last 2000 years'. It was built by hardworking British people and funded by our glorious naval traditions, our explorers, and those who gave us our magnificent empire. Fuck the apologists.

Get over it, Ireland is and always has been part of the British Isles. None of them were press-ganged into being navvies, and they were paid well for the work.

Always one of the worse arguments. Did the ancient Brits welcome the Celts? Did the Celts welcome the Saxons? I'm sure the Saxons encouraged the Normans and gave them free housing etc. Especially in the north of England about a year or so after that rather jolly archery competition on a hill near Hastings.
