Anyone who has had skin cancer on their scalp is going to be careful about using sunscreen and wear a hat outdoors. Indoors, hats are filthy things with dead skin and oils making a perfect fermenting environment for bacteria. I’m guessing the hat indoors was because they were self conscious about the scabs and the scarring.
