What's your thoughts about the new channel 4 series Tip Toe, I am really enjoying watching it.

Watching it but cannot say that I'm really enjoying it. Most of the main characters, especially the gay ones, are too stereotyped. None of them are very likeable.

Yeah interesting to see how we get back to what the opening scene was. No spoilers.

I liked the scene where everyone was wanking separately at the same time

It's a whodunnit.

Yes some of the characters seem to be there to get a point across, I don't know how many episodes there are going to be but I'm guessing the lack of character depth is due to having to fit a complex storyline into a relatively short number of episodes, which will ultimately be down to funding etc

There will be five episodes in all. 3,4, and 5 are being shown this coming Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Still not sure about it. Feels rather dated and cliched.

All ready made a thread about this but even so I think it’s gripping TV it keeps you wanting to watch more

Well written and both main actors play great parts

The older son is fit as well

Disturbing viewing. Knowing how it ends , knowing what’s coming, it’s hard to breathe during it. Tonight’s is the stuff of nightmares. And it’s on tomorrow. Genius.

I can’t bear RTD, I find his writing stiff, and his characters entirely disingenuous. Won’t be watching it.

I MIGHT watch it. Eventually.

I’m not a fan of the writer.

The American version of his qaf was infinitely superior.

Hear what you are saying. Not his biggest fan. Queer As Folk was probably his best gay work. Haven't been too impressed by some of his stuff since. Still not sure of what to make of this Tip Toe. Intriguing but feels dated.

I wouldn't doubt that. Never really been involved in the gay scene other than visit gay bars and venues occasionally. Have known some really nasty homophobes.

I think it it’s great tv despite it being a tough watch at times it’s hard hitting and keeps you wanting to watch more

The gay scene can be tough and heartbreaking at times and I think Tip Toe covers it well

We know the problem is with that Manipulative Psychopath but there is another underlying problem too. Just wait....

It’s pretty well paced.

The reveal at the beginning is a vantage move.

So far the build up to that reveal is placing the end into perspective.

It’s quite politically hard hitting, for me, maybe less politics and more narrative relevant to the central plot would have made it more compelling.

But let’s see….

I’ve only seen the first 2. The power struggle between the two is emotive and you can see how its going to unfold but the tension is still there

Glad I watched it although it is challenging. I’ve been thinking for years that the freedoms we have come to take for granted are increasingly coming under threat by those looking to exploit diversity and create division in our society. All part of the blame game.

Yep and it also shows the damage a over powering father figure can do it’s a tough watch at times but gripping at the same time
