Things that stop you reading stories

What are the things that stop you reading the Stories and Fantasies on here?

For me, any reference to women's clothing/ lingerie is an instant stop to further reading along with any activities involving females.

That's fair enough, each to their own. Read it or leave it, tis always good to have the freedom to make a choice.

I give up on some stories, because of all the scrolling down pages full of copies and quotes - just to say they like the story ??

Why not just add an Emoji onto the bottom of the last part of the story ?

Instead of all the separate comment boxes !

Womens clothing, each to their own, just not for me.

Stories that go on for days and days and days, then........nothing for a few days before another update. I know we all have a life away from here, but would rather read a story in one sitting rather than having to come back to it again and again.

But saying that, some of those stories are hot lol

There was a recent story here where one of characters kept saying the word “darling” anytime they had a line.

Who am I to question if that happened all the time in real life but reading it. It was such a drag

I don’t read the stories that are of no interest to me, so I find that descriptive titles are helpful.

What puts me off is a lack of paragraphs, I just can’t read it. I don’t mind poor punctuation or spelling but the lack of paragraphs is frustrating and makes what could be an excellent, horny tale difficult to read.

Know what you mean about paragraphs - however, having posted a couple of stories myself, that may be down to the site's formatting - if you've written the story elsewhere (e.g. Word) and copy/paste to here, the site removes any line breaks unless you go back through and put them in (as I do)

"Poor spelling and punctuation that make the story hard to follow"

Exactly, if the poster can’t be bothered to read it through before pressing “post” why should I bother to read on.

It’s not that they can’t spell, it’s just simple errors they can’t be arsed to correct.

I’m also put off by the constant comments of “this is getting interesting” “loving this” “hope he carries on” etc

Yes. Some guys write a complete paragraph without so much as a single full stop, comma or capital letter. When coupled with bad spelling it becomes impossible to understand.

Rarely read the Stories and Fantasies section. Some stories are quite good or at least start of quite good. Then they start talking about guys in women's clothing or real women so I instantly lose interest. Seems to happen with about 90% of the stories.

I commented on a story for exactly this reason. If you read it how it was written it was one long sentance.

I was told to get a life, keyboard warrior etc as though I was in the wrong.

All I'd said was, better punctuation would make it an easier read.

Cross dressing

When the storyline is too long, usually the story starts off good then as it gets more and more chapters it starts either getting boring or too far fetched.

When the writer only posts around 4-6 lines of their story, then a few days later they post another 5-6 lines.

Im just not in to the overly written made up stories. I much prefer what appears to be a genuinely true event even if the writing is very basic. The story matters so much more than the prose lol 🤣🤣

Bad spelling, it seems some stories the writer gets too excited while they are writing that they make stupid spelling mistakes. I just get fed up trying to work out what they are on about so I stop reading the story. Don’t people prove read what they write before posting?

What deters me from reading stories on the forum is poor presentation. Walls of text with no paragraph breaks, nonsensical garbled English, and the realisation that it is pure illogical fantasy.
