They've spent almost a year and a half in Evin prison, one of the deadliest prisons in the world, which has turned into a hostage situation for terrorists and Nazi ayatollahs. Instead of pressuring the Iranian Nazi government and labeling the IRGC as a terrorist group like all the EU countries, Canada, and Australia have done, Starmer sent Labour Party members months ago to celebrate their revolution anniversary at the Iranian embassy in London. They even stood for their national anthem in that room, making fools of themselves. It's just hopeless. What’s going to happen to this couple now that they’re both on a hunger strike? This administration is ridiculous, only thinking about themselves, what a bunch of jerks!

While I feel bad for the Foreman's and I believe they should be sent back. They are in the situation that they are in due to their own decision to drive through Iran. Something they were told not to do, something anyone else wouldn't do. They ignored the warnings and did it anyway. Is it on trumped up charges? yes but should we feel sorry for them not totally tbh. People may disagree.

I completely agree with you that they put themselves at risk, but my main concern is the ineptitude of this useless government and their approach to the ayatollahs by saying No, they aren't our problem, and we don't want to get involved. The more you show weakness, the more they come after you... and I'm absolutely certain about those nasty devils.

Maybe this government have learned to keep their mouths shut in public. Unlike Boris Johnson of the previous government who falsely claimed that Nazarnin Zahgari Radcliffe was training journalists in Iran which did the prospect of her release a world of harm. Saying nothing publicly may help behind the scenes diplomatic efforts

The Foreign Office at the time had a no travel advisory to Iran, the couple carried on.

There is a distinct lack of personal responsibility these days and this just typifies it.
