He had also 'addressed the nation' via some TV channel on the subject, and probably helped summon up some of the rioting that has happened. He's a con man and an influencer. I'm not saying that the Albanians, Somalis, Eritreans etc who arrive by dinghy have filled or would fill those positions, but a lot of institutions, like the NHS, rely heavily on immigrants. My last three operations were carried out very successfully by a Greek Cypriot, an Indian and an Iraqi. Most of the lovely, carry nursing staff were of immigrant descent. I'm all for clamping down on illegal immigrant, especially freeloading economic ones, by with the faragites you never know where they will draw the line. Also I don't think he has any rational plans to 'stop the boats' other than to try and deploy the Royal Navy or cover the Kent coast with barbed-wire barriers and land mines. Last year I was in hospital in both Hereford and Worcester. Hardly the biggest hospitals in the country but I would say in both at least 50% of all staff were from ethnic minorities. Every doctor or clinician I saw was of Asian, African or Afro-Caribbean origin, and very good they were too. | |||

Just a quick general question. Do people know how much of our council tax goes towards adult and child care provision? I was shocked to learn it was 65%. Obviously some variations, but way beyond my expectations. This figure has gone up by 10% just in recent years. We have a crisis in spending, and it's only getting worse. I've no idea if Reform can fix, but there's no chance of Labour addressing it. The back benchers don't want to control spending. They want more and more tax. | |||

"I work on a large construction site, and im involved in a large sports club - so i meet many people and their views always come out in discussions The one common thing is not Farage as many dont know of his policies other than immigration - its how soft this country has become. The grooming gangs always comes up, the woke society, the alarming number of HMOs springing up everywhere. Everyone is scared of voicing their opinion because they will be labelled racist. These are not reform voters, they are mostly concerned parents worried at what is happening. Starmer is a joke of a leader, disliked by everyone We need a strong leader with a plan to change alot of things in this country, cant see anyone who is suitable tbh " I hear what you are saying and I hear similar from all walks of life. Yes this country could do with a strong leader but that leader is not Farage.
