Humiliated, shamed in the Commons at PMQs yesterday in a much-repeated sequence.

Can only assume that, as with Trump, his supporters will see no wrong and blindly double down against 'conspiracy'.

Fact is though that in any humane terms yesterday he was seen to be blatantly wilfully falling short.

Falling short at every opportunity has worked for Mandelson though.

It's a very low bar for all politicians nowadays.

Farage is the saviour of the nation. So far has never put a foot wrong. When he gets into no.10 he will put an end to all the woke left bullshit, climate crap, gender crap, race crap and all the other corrosive lefty stuff, including, of course, the crazy immigration stuff. Yesterday he clearly exposed the uniparty attempt to smother over the ghastly behaviour of the police.

he got it wrong yesterday but still the best thing since Thatcher (god bless the saucy minx)!! Cant wait for Reform to sort this mess out. labour are an abomination and conservatives fucked it up. Ive read their initial manifesto and it makes allot of sense, not just some pro-white bollocks the media have hinged to. Labour have done more damage to our society in 2 years than conservatives did in 14. and if you show another opinion you are now called far right!! No, just need to return to common sense.

Farage is a despicable character. Absent from the Commons for weeks and missed 777 voting lobbies. Now suddenly re-appears to express his faux rage and try to make political gain out of a tragedy. I'm not normally a defender of Starmer but I did admire his calm but firm response to the Farage's rabble rousing rant.

Some things he said may have been correct but saying them was inappropriate. He had also 'addressed the nation' via some TV channel on the subject, and probably helped summon up some of the rioting that has happened.

He's a con man and an influencer. May appear calm but it is all carefully stage-managed to make political gain. Henry Nowak's father said he did not want anyone to make a political issue out of this tragedy, but that is exactly what Farage is doing. The man has no shame.

So they´ll be no complaints from you when nigel faright is happy to drag us back to the 70s then when racism and gay bashing were commonplace.Niiiiice.What a fucking utopa we´re heading towards.

He showed no respect for the families wishes as that wouldnt help his grift and agenda.

And where was his outrage and the mobs outrage when those lads got away scott free for sexual assaulting at knife point(i dont think fab will let me use the actual word?) those 2 girls?

You KNOW he´d have had something to say if those boys were of a different skin colour but NOT A PEEP from him and his ilk as it wouldnt fit their aganda.

I'm truly amazed how anyone can believe a fledgling party with flags, slogans and fists in the place of policies can succeed in such a complex political landscape where others have failed.

Up and down the land a bunch of the great unwashed - with no experience of local party politics whatsoever - have been elected as councillors and, having never shown that interest in grassroots politics, are utterly clueless. In my area, they had ONE policy on the generic leaflet that came through the letterbox: to cut waste. Yet having found they know nothing about council business, the first thing they've done is contract advisers to nursemaid them through the process at a cost of £200,000. The same is happening elsewhere. If you haven't already seen it, Google Kirklees Reform Councillors for a flavour of just how incompetent, unsuitable and plain thick some of these people are and imagine candidates of the same calibre (or ex-Tories, as that's pretty much all there is at their disposal) in national government.

If you truly think they could be better or no worse than what's gone before them, then to put it very politely, you need your head reading.

The problem with politics is there are no centrist parties, it’s either far right or far left and the far left view everyone slightly right of them as racist and fascists and the far right slightly left of them are seen as traitors, but at the end of the day we are all entitled to an opinion wether others agree or disagree is irrelevant

I tend to disagree. The Libdems claim to be centrist even though a bit left of centre. Labour moved to the centre under Blair, back to the hard left under Corbyn and is trying to be more centrist or centre-left under Starmer. The Conservatives are basically centre-right. Certainly not far-right like Reform, Restore and whatever. Both Labour and the Conservatives are 'broad churches': a coalition of left, right and centre.

From what I've seen, he says what a small minority believe, and the rest are believing what he tells them.

He manufactures situations that feed back into his talking points, then his followers think they've come up with their opinions of their own accord

Brexit put an end to a lot of hard working East Europeans coming over and doing jobs that Brits seemed reluctant to do. I'm not saying that the Albanians, Somalis, Eritreans etc who arrive by dinghy have filled or would fill those positions, but a lot of institutions, like the NHS, rely heavily on immigrants. My last three operations were carried out very successfully by a Greek Cypriot, an Indian and an Iraqi. Most of the lovely, carry nursing staff were of immigrant descent.

I'm all for clamping down on illegal immigrant, especially freeloading economic ones, by with the faragites you never know where they will draw the line. Also I don't think he has any rational plans to 'stop the boats' other than to try and deploy the Royal Navy or cover the Kent coast with barbed-wire barriers and land mines.

BTW don't tell the Farage or his acolytes but Nowak is a Polish name rather than a 'traditional British' one.

The Poles I know had somewhere in Poland to go back to.

My colleague lives in his home in Poland and rents out the UK home.

This reverse migration was always going to happen when GDP per capita rose in Poland.

Even Cameron said Brits should migrate more.

If I rember correctly, Mr Farage was initially leader of Ukip, then later acted and as a spokesman for the leave campaign, during the referendum. He promised Brexit would be good for the UK.

The majority of bodies and experts think it has damaged the UK.

I don't understand why anybody in this country would support a person who so spectacularly got it wrong.

I would have more faith in the Monster Raving Loony Party to Govern the UK, rather then Reform UK Limited company.

Reform would seem not suitable to run a village fete. Although Mr Farage does have experience of winning a large prize on the Tombola.

Reform UK's political strategy regarding LGBT+ issues focuses heavily on rolling back inclusivity measures. While the party does not have formal "LBT" (Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender) bans in place, they have implemented and proposed several highly contested policies that restrict these communities:

Reform Councils ban LGBT Flags.

I was always advised at a young age that political views should be kept a secret. That’s why people vote anonymously. Especially in this day and age with everything that goes on.

"only 3% of the NHS are from the ethnic minority "

Bollocks. I suppose this is what comes from “doing your own research”.

From Gov.uk:

‘In June 2022, over 1.3 million people were employed by the NHS

“Out of NHS staff whose ethnicity was known, 74.3% were white and 25.7% were from ethnic minority groups (not including white minority groups)’

"Keep Calm..... Vote Reform 🇬🇧🩵🏳️‍⚧️"

Really, did you miss the bit where he has said that the Reform party will withdraw from the Europian human rights act. And that they will row back on all forms of trans rights.

How does that saying go,

There is a lot of vitriol on here against Reform and their views.Farage was only saying what the majority of people are thinking but dare not say. Wokeness and racism has gone too far in the police and needs to be stamped out. Will this happen under Labour? I doubt it as they rely heavily on their ethnic voters. The Torys are still in disarray, so who will get this country out of this mess?

Why not give reform a try what have we got to lose?

"Farage and his cult want the Lord's Prayer to be said at the beginning of every meeting:

"Our Fuhrage, who ain't in Clacton

Nigel be thy name

Thy kingdom come, thy grift be done

In Britain as it is in Moscow

Give us this day our daily lies

And forgive us for not worshipping thee

As we forgive those that oppose thee.

Lead us not into rational thinking

But deliver us from common sense

For thine is the bigotry, the hatred and the grift

Forever and ever

Go Fund Me.that’s really helpful thanks - what’s ration thinking ? Is it where thinking for one’s self is sparse & lacking ? (Asking for a friend) "

Made a couple of spelling mistakes there which I've rectified in the quote e.g. gift should read grift, and ration should read rational. Hope that helps

"only 3% of the NHS are from the ethnic minority "

I could believe that if you go to a small town surgery or cottage hospital but not if you go to a city. Last year I was in hospital in both Hereford and Worcester. Hardly the biggest hospitals in the country but I would say in both at least 50% of all staff were from ethnic minorities. Every doctor or clinician I saw was of Asian, African or Afro-Caribbean origin, and very good they were too.

Stamped out. That sounds a bit rough. The trouble is, we are one of the things they want to stamp out. How would you stamp out this wokeness anyway? Some kind of punishment? Force people with blue hair to dye it brown?

What have we got to lose?

The hard won Gay Rights.

Reform will say anything to win a Vote.

In 5 years they can do a lot of damage.

The country is weaker due to the ideas of Farage.

Reform is just an extension of a posh boys Ego. He’s a wind up merchant.

It will a very sad day if Reform win the next General Election. Farage is rarely in Parliament, He can’t run the country from his friends yacht.

Ive read their initial manifesto and it makes allot of sense, not just some pro-white bollocks the media have hinged to. Labour have done more damage to our society in 2 years than conservatives did in 14. and if you show another opinion you are now called far right!! No, just need to return to common sense. "

The man is a traitor.

Taking money from foreign dinners to ensure policies to the clear detriment of national interests.

He fronted Brexit for the benefit of dubious hedge funds and to avoid banking regulation that allows London to process up to 40%of the world's dirty money.

He's now offering the sell off of natural resources the NHS and mod budgets to highest bidders. And in the meantime time he is the primary face of far right culture wars financed by American and Russian far right interests.

Significantly, Reform have declined in the polls. From 34% to 26% in the May election. Now down further.

They've peaked. Their strategy of destabilising to force an early election is running out of steam as they face more scrutiny.

If there was a man working for Putin to destabilise Britain and the EU, promote divisive, poisonous, culture wars,he could not do much more than Farage has done.

Follow the money.

A free NHS

Workers rights

Human rights

The automatic right to a state pension.

And that's just for starters. Their pie-in-the-sky fiscal and economic policies may sound wonderful but in reality are far more extreme and unworkable than the Truss/Kwarteng ones ever were. Look at where the Faragites have taken over councils. Full of wonderful promises that they cannot fulfil. Council taxes have gone up despite them saying they would bring them down. Care homes and other services under threat. With a self centred, bone-idle grifter like Farage in charge I reckon the country would descend into economic and social chaos within weeks.

Just a quick general question.

Do people know how much of our council tax goes towards adult and child care provision?

I was shocked to learn it was 65%.

Obviously some variations, but way beyond my expectations.

This figure has gone up by 10% just in recent years.

We have a crisis in spending, and it's only getting worse.

I've no idea if Reform can fix, but there's no chance of Labour addressing it.

The back benchers don't want to control spending. They want more and more tax.

He seems to point out things that the majority of politicians refuse to mention or admit. Starmer and the rest of the mainstream media and politicians accuses Farage of using the young man’s death for political purposes .

But yet, why then did Starmer invite the family to 10 Downing Street, surely somewhere out of the way of press scrutiny would have been more appropriate.

Not quite true. He joined then hijacked UKIP getting rid of its more moderate hierarchy like the wonderfully eccentric Dr Alan Sked. Resigned but went back as leader when they weren't doing to well. All a bit stage-managed. Resigned as leader after the Brexit vote then left the party completely accusing it of being too racist [hilarious] and formed the Brexit Party which did morph into Reform. Reform was then led by Farage's pet poodle, Tice, right up until the 2024 election was announced when Tice stood down in favour of Farage. Again all carefully stage-managed. UKIP actually still exists.

BTW I am anything but a lefty but deplore the extremist of the Faragites.

There is a massive amount of hate against him including death threats from those on the left of politics, but of course the Left are always 'quick on the draw' when it comes to violence. He and his party are almost certainly the only party that can save us from looming decline of the UK

Respectfully beg to disagree. He's a campaigner, an influencer, rather than a working politician. He appears to answer questions directly but if you stop and listen and think, he doesn't. I don't think he has it in him to be prime minister. Likes the limelight but not the work. Rest of his party seems to be made up of dubious types or failures from other parties. I think they would be running around like headless chickens if they ever came to power.

"Unlike most other politicians who obfuscate when presented with a question, Farage answers very well and very directly".

Other politicians asked questions are usually at Cabinet level, run big departments, and know the complexity, compromises and demands of being in government.

Farage has never held any government office, so is free to opine loudly and critically, from his position as an outsider, without responsibility or full inside knowledge. Like a well-paid tabloid journalist.

He is though responsible to the constituents of Clacton, whom he represents only very occasionally in the Commons. It'll be fascinating to see how this inexperienced elderly man takes to the fierce demands of government at the very top if, as is speculated, his forceful limited opinions win him high office.

"he got it wrong yesterday but still the best thing since Thatcher (god bless the saucy minx)!! "

Unfortunately, headless political chickens who are under the domination of a cult leader can do a hell of a lot of damage. In fact they can destroy the country, which Trump's regime in the US is currently demonstrating.

""Unlike most other politicians who obfuscate when presented with a question, Farage answers very well and very directly".

...thats very similar to the shit they posted about trump...and then he royally fucked everything up....

Rubbish - he is a nasty verminous creep who has led even more than other politicians in his career. He actually owns his party. It is no kind of democracy. He is a rich man who wants to stay that way by blaming everything on the immigrants etc and never the rich who need to be heavily taxed.

The Police were probably told they're responding to a race hate crime then we're to thick to adjust to the scene that we all could see on the body cam nothing to do with dual policing.

'a hero of Britain'? What exactly has he done that was heroic? Fought a war? Saved us from invasion, penury and strife? Don't remember any of that.

'Loved by the majority'? Fickle and ever changing opinion polls gave him and his party/cult 33% at their zenith. Fallen to around 25% recently. Now I don't pretend to be the world's greatest mathematician but that is a long way off a majority.

'Look at the last election results'? Which election? 2024 general election the Faragites got 14% of the votes cast. The failed to win the Denton and Gorton by-election. They did fairly well in council elections on a low turn-out but actually not as well as they did the previous year. They came a poor 2nd in the Welsh Senedd elections and didn't do very well in the Scottish parliamentary elections.

I’m not supporting or defending Farage or Reform but if you want to go down the percentage route you will know that Labour got nowhere near a majority in 2024. Reform got a larger percentage of the vote than the Lib Dems and ended up with more than 60 fewer seats in Parliament. I’m not a fan of PR but the last election demonstrated the inadequacies of our system.

I don’t think Reform will win the next election but I think we are likely to end up with a hung Parliament and they will all be scrambling to make unholy alliances. God help us.

Exactly right. I was a manager on a construction site, and was tought the same basic first aid as you mentioned.

It beggars belief that 2 police officers saw a man on the ground who said he had been stabbed and he couldnt breath, yet they chose to handcuff him.

I know everyone makes mistakes in life, but this is shocking. A total disreguard of the boys pleas for help, more concerned with the bas~~~ds who killed him saying he had been verbally abused.

Absoloutly shocking

Shocking and a tragedy. And Farage chose to whip it up into violence to distract from his t million pound bribe. Hes despicable.

Contrast this with his message when Sarah Everard was murdered by a police officer - please renain calm, dont go after police officers and men.

I work on a large construction site, and im involved in a large sports club - so i meet many people and their views always come out in discussions

The one common thing is not Farage as many dont know of his policies other than immigration - its how soft this country has become. The grooming gangs always comes up, the woke society, the alarming number of HMOs springing up everywhere. Everyone is scared of voicing their opinion because they will be labelled racist. These are not reform voters, they are mostly concerned parents worried at what is happening.

Starmer is a joke of a leader, disliked by everyone

Is it the same opinion you have just expressed in your post? Go ahead .. dont be "scared" .. tell us. As I say very few seem to be " scared " to express racist opinions. I hear what you are saying and I hear similar from all walks of life. Yes this country could do with a strong leader but that leader is not Farage. He is just a carefully stage-managed opportunist who says the 'right thing' with this very false 'man of the people' persona he has created. Not someone who can be trusted at all.

No "cold rage" call from Farage when a Sikh lady was r.... by a white male in an aggravated racial motive. Or no "cold rage" when an eighty year old Asian male is murdered in Leicester for racial motives by white youths. Is it skin colour that motivates Farage to call gor "cold rage" ... not the crime.
