In a galaxy far far away

I've been 3 times the best was Gumbet, near Bodrum. Most hotels tend to be all inclusive but there's loads of restaurants and of course bar streets.

One thing you need to watch for is the shop sellers. They stand outside and are very pushy, sometimes aggressive. Most of the gear is fake, but they pretend it's real.

Just to add, it gets very hot there. In July you could easily see temperatures of 40 degrees.

If you want a calmer experience I’d recommend dalyan. It’s an older crowd so hardly any nightclubs and loud bars and the shopkeepers are all laid back and dont hassle you

Hisaronu is nice, and you have both Fethiye and Olu Deniz within easy reach.

A nice mix of mountain and beach resorts and not too many ankle buyers!!

Dalyan's great. If there's still a ferry, don't miss the rock-cut tombs and the Greek harbour remains across the river.

You may need mosquito repellent, and a Turkish phrasebook would also be helpful.

here and there

Been three times

A gulet cruise from marmaris, bodrum and Dalyan.

Very beautiful country but went years ago

I would never go again as I won't spend my money on a country ruled by a despot

Leeds

I went to Istanbul last year, great experience. They call it the city of cats, as they roam the city freely, especially at night.

Turkish hammam definitely worth a visit, never felt so clean in my life.

Even as someone non religious, the mosques are fascinating to visit.
