In a galaxy far far away

Never underestimate the unconditional love of a dog.

I lost mine 2 years ago, she was 16 and I had her for 13 years.

My dog is the reason I have trouble with availability. If he is having a slow day then anything that may have been in the pipeline is put on hold

As a poster above mentioned, my daily schedule revolves around work and my dogs so not always easy to meet.

Given some of the messages I receive I’m better off giving my time to them!

We were going on holiday and were on a tight schedule. My partner asked if he could take our young dog to school. We could set off straight after school. The head agreed but the dog must stay in the staff room. Naturally someone let the dog out and it ended up in his classroom at the end of the day. Once the kids had settled the dog wandered round the room greeting every kid. He said it was amazing. All the kids from safe stable homes he just acknowledged. All the kids from hones with money worries, drugs, divorce, instability etc he spent time with. How did the dog know

Given the choice to never have sex again or never have a dog, i'd be sexless but happy. Currently got 2, pondering a 3rd.

Feed them play with them and give them a stroke and you will have the most loyal honest and best friend you could possibly have if people were half as good as dogs the world would be like heaven

And I hate the way dogs can be blamed for having bad owners. No such thing as a bad dog just a bad owner

I would love a dog and have toyed with getting one for years. Unfortunately I’m unable to commit myself due to work and not being at home as much as I would like to be. I even had a dog fund but ended up spunking the lot on a new kitchen 😩

I lost my sprocker spaniel this Easter. Heartbreaking to make the decision, hardest thing to do, but it was time. He was a beautiful character, not a nasty bone in his body, I miss him dreadfully.

One of the hardest decisions you will probably ever have to make 😞

I still remember the day I had to let my first go over rainbow bridge

I remember our last walk together he collapsed on the pavement due to his legs and I’ll never ever forget the way he looked up at me as if to say Dad I can’t do this anymore 😢

I knew at that very moment I was going to have to let him go and start a new journey without me it broke my heart in two

My current Dog is 12 years old and I can see him getting older and slower so I try to treasure every single moment with him and make sure he receives as much love fun and affection as possible

Treat them with love and I guarantee you will have a friend for life 😊

Losing a dog is the most terrible pain i have ever known. Nowadays I always make sure I have 2 dogs. 1 is a great comfort when the other has to go.

I've been very fortunate to have been around dogs all my life..

I'm currently 'owmed' by my 14y/o Springer (who still acts like a 3 y/o) & my rescue from Cyprus, who spent 4 years on the streets..he is the softest dog I've ever known..an absolute joy..I would never be without a dog...

Yes, that look when he collapsed. Looked straight at me, held the eyes, it was so sad but I'd always been told "you'll know when it's time" and it is very true. They tell you.

My dog looks lovingly at me when he wants feeding or wants a walk. Then he buggers off and ignores me.
