I love a Full English Breakfast and absolutely love Black Pudding however I can’t stand baked beans

For me the perfect Full English is:

Bacon

Sausages

Black Pudding

Fried Egg

Mushrooms

Tinned Tomatoes

Hash Browns

Toast although I’m sometimes partial to Fried Bread

What’s others thoughts?

Should the likes of Black Pudding Hash Browns and Beans be on a Full English Breakfast

I agree with you on the baked beans, but take away the tinned tomatoes too please… so wet- the juice gets everywhere and ruins the rest!

As others have said- swap your hash browns for a couple of potato scones (cooked on a high heat so they’re a wee bit burnt on the outside and a good bit of crunch!)

If I'm going to a caff for a cooked breakfast I always choose bubble as the potato dish, it's especially nice if it has brown crispy bits in it where it's caught in the pan and caramelised.

I quite like mushrooms and black pudding, along with fried egg, bacon, tinned tomatoes and sausage. Not so keen on beans though, I don't like the juice polluting the other food. Will have a splash of Worcestershire sauce though.

I'm not a fan of tomatoes on my Full English. I can take or leave the mushrooms and the black pudding. I do like to have some form of potato so either refried mash, fried sliced potatoes or hash browns.

The fried egg has to have a runny yolk and I do want beans but not too many. They're mostly there for a bit more moisture. They usually get left until last and then eaten with the toast anyway.

A full English was the staple diet when I was a youngster. Last few I had would be 16 or 17 years ago when staying in hotels/B+Bs. Varied quite a bit in content. Started to find they gave me indigestion around mid morning so on the odd occasion I've stayed in a hotel in recent years it has been 'room only' and grabbed a croissant or something from a bakery.
