I recently commented on a cross dressers legs on Facebook, somebody liked that comment and my wife noticed that !! I said it was only for a laugh and then deleted my comment, a old work friend now retired had also liked the post so I messaged him trying to be very discreet, telling him what my wife had noticed but it went wrong , he said he didn't know what I was talking about and got very defensive, blaming Facebook for odd things happening all his thumbs up were then deleted and he has left , me feeling a bit bad now , but was only trying to warn him , wish I hadn't done that now 😉

Messages can be very misconstrued. We don't get the tone of voice or inflection with the written word. I'm sorry your innocent comments were taken wrongly. The other day I saw a guy's profile on here, his pictures showed a fit, stunning body. He hadn't been verified at all having been a member for "over a year". I msgd "wow, amazing pictures of a fit looking man. I can't believe you haven't been verified!" meaning, you should be in demand, surely, you look fantastic, people are missing out.

I got an abusive msg saying he was having regular sex with a fwb and if I can't say anything nice, say fuck all.

It felt quite hurtful because I'd meant the complete opposite of how he'd chosen to read it. He blocked me.

You are absolutely spot on ! No voice inflection means messages can be taken completely the wrong way however good ones English is.

As childish as it seems emojis ( which I used to hate) can be useful as people seem to get their meaning more than actual words so try a few laughing emojis maybe it will help ?

Mean while good luck.
