Missing the Domestic Football already and I can’t wait for the new season to start I also can’t way to see which players my team Sunderland bring in to help push us forward and hopefully have another successful season

Which players would to see sign for the club you support and what positions do you believe the club need to strengthen?

Similar here only rugby not football. Still a few premier play offs but no local matches to attend.

It’s the worse time when there’s no domestic football on I can’t even get myself up the World Cup as nothing comes close to supporting your own team

Never really watched Rugby unfortunately mate even though my Brother once played it ha

That's because it's the cricket season!

And as to which players to sign I just wish that our top teams had more locally born players and less third rate internationals. I mean, most Premier league teams don't in any way truly represent the club or it's environs. They are just fairly random international XIs.

There's no doubt that Sunderland did way better than expected last season, avoiding relegation was probably the best they hoped for and now they're in Europe.

Clubs such as Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton have done really well in recent years, always managing to find excellent young players as replacements for the ones who've been snapped up for really good money by the bigger clubs. In Brighton's case I know they're tapped into places like Ecuador, not well known previously, and found young players who've done really well.

Are Sunderland in danger of losing some of their best youngsters, and is there a system in place to replace them?

That’s the way football is now unfortunately and whilst i agree with you about local talent coming through it’s sadly few and fair between

Having said that my team Sunderland have always brought through young local talent some of which have gone on to be quality players like Henderson and Pickford

We have also got Chris Rigg another local lad who is very highly rated and who played for us numerous times last season

We also have a tendency to bring in young talent from abroad who are hungry and passionate and have brilliant ability Le Fee Sadiki Talbi Roefs Diarra etc etc all of which the big teams have shown interest in so bringing in young talent from abroad is definitely not something to be sniffed at

Don’t think we will mate unless some really stupid bids come in for them and the fact we are in Europe will go along way to persuading them to play

Plus the fact they have witnessed what’s it’s like to play in front of our fans and the love they receive from us can only be a good thing

You only have to witness the scene on the final day of the season to see what it means to us

Of course the board will be prepared for any situation and I’ve got full confidence that whatever happens they will do the right thing and continue to achieve success

What about Arsenal what changes would you like to see??

Wolverhampton

I’m still buzzing after the Villa won a trophy a few weeks back.

I think the squad does need refreshing, the average age is quite high. We lack pace in attack, particularly out wide so we need to address that. Sadly I think some long-serving players will move on as their time with the club comes to an end.

Then there’s the will he/won’t he saga over Morgan Rogers. If he has a good World Cup then I think it will be difficult to keep him at Villa Park. The size of fee that he will attract will be significant and should be re-invested in the squad.

We can offer Champions League football to potential signings and joining a squad that has recently won a trophy will be attractive.

All in all I’m pretty happy with everything and I don’t miss football during the close season, that’s when I can watch cricket.

Used to play rugby for years until knees gave out. Never much interest in football probably because not much good at it. When I ran a village pub the local football team used the pub as their HQ so took a bit more interest then and used to go out and watch. Quite enjoyed it.

Defensively we're okay, the likes of Hancapie, Mosquera and Calafiori have proved to be more than capable and can each play in more than one position.

We probably need a creative midfielder, as Odegaard has gone off the boil a little, and a proper striker as there are still questions over Gyokeres and Havertz.

As a Palace season ticket holder I've been living the dream for the year or so, would be nice to do well in Europe again, as it's far more interesting than the premier league. The football is so boring to watch now, all that tippy tappy short passing and taking 2 minutes to take a long throw, it's time to go back to being exciting. But as the sone goes, We're having a party, having a ball, Brighton and MIllwall have won fuck all !!

Get a top quality striker mate and you’ll be absolutely flying

Serious question do you think you can retain the title??
