Good question.

Financially secure, savings, house but mortgage, high earner.

Good friends near and far, good family supportive and grateful, good health to run marathons, get to do lots of great things.

Rich in many ways

I've donated monthly to my 2 favourite charities pretty much since I started working.

Even when I had lean work spells.

So, rich to me is being able to continue doing so.

I guess that's it really. Being rich is about being able to do what you enjoy. If that's something free like walking, then all the better.

Mortgage paid off about 5 years ago.

Hubby and I used to work together doing the same job and was regularly doing 50 or 60 hours a week. After bit of a health scare about 18 months ago we had a serious look at life.

Cashed in a couple of work pensions and booked a cruise with a weeks notice.

I gave up work completely and hubby changed jobs and now works 18 hours a week.

We have some money in the bank, enough to pay the bills each month. Two cruises a year.

So less stress, more quality time together.

So we may not be financially rich with millions in the bank, but quality of life is much better.

Wouldn’t say I was rich, but I’m comfortable. Mortgage paid off 10yrs ago through working 2 jobs whilst kids were young, but they’re grown up and have good jobs.

Only reason I have money now is because of a critical illness insurance payout. Having nearly died twice I’d gladly give the money back to have good health.

Its because technocatic centrism has resulted in all the money going to the super rich. Who then encourage us to fight amongst ourselves.

.

Quite depressingly wealthy through bad fortune really.

I have a significant pension that I will receive for the rest of my life, meaning I can if I chose be a lot more selective in my working life.

I looked into paying off my mortgage, but with early fees on top the monthly savings were less than using the cash for investments and high interest accounts. Hardly fun stuff, but the pension pays off the monthly cost anyway.

None of the wealth of kids though, nor will I realistically find love again. Poor affairs with married men who can't come to terms with their sexuality will have to see me through the next 30-40 years.

Semi retired since 55, no mortgage, no debt at all, almost totally refurbed current house, quite a nice quality of life, work if I need to, pretty much have everything I need, enough money to go on holiday when we want. Not absolutely loaded but nothing out of reach, private Pension won’t kick in until I’m 65. So careful with money and a have a reasonable about locked away and invested to make a fairly healthy return. Life is good want for nothing.
