I'm currently 2 months into losing weight.

First 4 weeks I shred on slimming world but realised I'm paying 7 quid a week just to step on a scale and follow a plan. - I can do that for free. Without people clapping when I win slimmer of the week. I'm not doing it to stoke my ego.

Last 4 weeks I've been mostly Keeping to the sw plan and added the gym into my life. But you do need more food to train. I'm doing circuits, cardo and about to take to swimming...

2.5 stone down.

Anyone else on a weight loss journey and how are you going about it...

(I haven't even concedered the skinny jabs, each to their own but they're just not for me, although TBF I've seen some woman in my life get remarkable results on it)

Well done on your weight loss OP, keep it up.

It sounds like you have made the necessary lifestyle adjustments, diet and exercise are key. Personally I’d stay away from weight loss jabs because I prefer to control what goes into my body.

Diet and exercise are the way to go.

Try to make small, permanent changes to your diet. Stop taking sugar. Stop drinking sugary drinks. Avoid diet drinks; the sweetener can actually make you feel more hungry.

Low fat doesn’t always mean low calorie.

Lean meat. More vegetables. Measure the oil when you’re cooking-don’t eyeball it.

There’s loads of good information out there these days. Find out what works for you.

Definitely get skinny and do gym. I'm 91, do gym three times a week. Makes you feel good about your body. Helps to avoid ageing. I weigh the same now (140 lbs) as when I was 20. I know I'm very lucky. Good luck to anyone who makes the journey.

2.5 stone down in 2 months is fantastic going. Well done on this achievement.

Keep doing what you are doing, gym 3 times a week with weights, machines and 20 mins cardio spread over the week.

Focus on your food macros, proteins, carbs and healthy fats, to help build and maintain muscle mass, and give you the energy supplies for the gym.

Most important though, is be motivated and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. In addition, a cheat meal is allowed now and again if you deserve it.

Cheers guys.

And yeah as pointed above. The duet is my next battle... Changed from full fat, now time to cut it completely.

I’ve just cut out starchy carbs, added oils etc to my diet and weight has plummeted. I’m actually eating healthier too , more salad , veg and fish …

Well done OP. It’s not easy, but seeing the results does make it easier. I lost 4 stones a few years back with Slimming World. Put some back on, but not all. Have since been diagnosed diabetic T2, high cholesterol, high blood pressure. Used to run a lot but struggling with that just now. Slowly adjusting diet and upping the exercise, I’m getting there. Getting compliments from folk noticing I’m slimming down, which is always nice

Yep...a stone down in about a month so far.

Just eating super healthy and doing more physically.

Not focusing on weight loss as such though that is obviously related, just getting back to me of a few years ago.

Got dodgy knees then so did less and got in a rut of eating too much crap...I ate good stuff too lol just added crap on top 😞

Health is important but it's also about doing the activities I used to again...fitting in to my old clothes...

....those chaps are going to waste 🤣
