"There’s a pub I had hoped to meet in called the cock inn!"

Whilst working in Cheshire in the 70s a mate and I used to visit a pub in Northwich called the Cock Inn, brilliant place and at the end of the night all the bar staff got up on the bar and danced to YMCA.

The village of Scrooby in north Notts. Funny enough on its own. The sign on the main road past it says Scrooby 2. I can't help saying it out loud in a Scooby Doo stylee

Gogledd Ddwyrain Cymru

There's a small village near Rhyl in North Wales called "Cwm" pronounced "Coom" in Welsh, meaning valley, but many just say "Cum"! There's a cul-de-sac near Mold with the humorous name "Cwm Close"!! There's also a "Cwm Road" in Llandudno and "Cwm Court" in Prestatyn too. What in God's name were the councillors thinking of when they settled on those names for local roads!! 🫣
