I never ask for them and if a guy offers I'll say I'm not bothered either way.

I see verification as proof you are prepared to meet and 4 or 5 is plenty, although an updated veri every now and then is appreciated.

Veris, like pics, get old so updating both is a good idea

Veris give you an insight of the bloke you are planning to meet. I feel veris are a part of the ‘process’ and it’s therefore right to give and receive. Very rare you read a bad one is it!!

I like to verify. After exchanging a few msgs with someone, I received a msg saying they'd changed their mind because I am displaying too many verifications. You can't win. I don't display all my verifications so how many is too many? Should you display one or two recent veris to show you're genuine and hide the rest?

I used to send veris but soon found they werent getting returned so now i tell all meets if they send me a veri i will send 1 in return. Still surprising how many dont bother but i think recent veris show others that you are actively meeting.

This is true, recent veris mean more than one 5 years old.

We had a meet last week and out of 6 guys we had 2 veris and I did one for all of them which they have displayed,

Im very much on the understanding its polite to send one so people can see they are genuine and what they are like

Usually not bothered about them. Once you get an initial 1 or 2 then people can see that you actually meet. I offered to verify a guy at the weekend as he was on with a new account, he appreciated it... but then deleted his account a couple of days later 🫠

I’ve had a handful of regular meets over the years and only one guy ever gave me a recommendation. I’m not too bothered about recommendations because it puts me off someone’s profile when they have loads of them.

I would stick to meeting with guys who have some recent verifications that aren't just cam ones.

Have no problem verifying someone I've actually met in person. Wouldn't gatekeep pointlessly. And I think it's the polite thing to do to help people know the guy is less likely to be a timewaster.

I’m of several minds on this topic. If it’s discussed to exchange verifications, then great. However, if I give an unsolicited verification to someone after a meet, then I shouldn’t really expect reciprocation as it wasn’t discussed. That said, I personally can’t imagine posting a verification on my profile without doing one in return, but that’s my etiquette rule for myself.

Also There are plenty on here that are verified that are total time wasters , The real challenge is navigating around the dreamers , Picture hunters & time wasters & verification are absolutely no help with this

So what you are saying is that information (ie verifications) are of no informational value at all? That’s not very logical and probably explains why you have none and no indication that you actually engage in any meaningful way.

Nothing wrong with following your own path, if it works for you. However, it's kind of ridiculous to assert that verifications are of no help when, obviously, they’re a great help to those that use them

I will leave one if asked to, but I like my life to be private and when I go, for there to be as little trace of it as possible. Don’t like the thought of some cyber archaeologist trawling through my history in 100 years ….
