What would you suggest?

For me:

Sunderland v Newcastle

Sheff Utd v Sheff Wed

Burnley v Blackburn

Millwall v West Ham

Pompey v Southampton

Arsenal v Spurs

Sunderland v Newcastle the biggest in my opinion

I mean Everton Liverpool has to be considered. As does the North East derby.

My family are West Ham fans and I can't say I've ever really cared about the Millwall one. Id rather do in Chelsea more often than bother with that lot.

Thanks for the input 👍

Neverwhere

Do derbies actually mean much to the players now, given that the majority of premier league players are foreign and have no real concept of our local rivalries?

Perhaps more interesting these days are the ties between teams that just hate each other. Palace vs Brighton springs to mind.

And Middlesbrough have some interesting matches coming up next season. I'll be looking out for their ties against Southampton and Wolves.

Aye it’s a huge derby mate the build up begins weeks before it’s even kicked off it’s the first game we all look for when the fixtures come out

The atmosphere is on another level both before the match and during it one the biggest games of the season by far imo

Definitely Irons v Lions. I’ve been to both New & old Den derbies and it’s not pretty 😂 when we used to be at the Boleyn coming back on the District Line both sets of supporters would often clash at Whitechapel as it was an interchange with the East London line where Millwalls ground was at the end of. Those were the dark days of football and I’m sure next seasons games will pass without incident 😂

.

.

I've often said there is room now for a new "Town and City league " football league, say 5 or 6 divisions...

ALL the players must be born in that town/city ..team made up of local amateurs, pub team players, etc ..

Minimum entrance free to go watch on local pitches..

Players to get some fee ,from entrance fees..after insurance etc..

Not the ludicrous amounts paid to todays prima donnas..

Who knows..Exmouth town could be top of premier league!..

Just a thought..unlikely to happen

If you’re a true supporter your two local teams is the biggest Derby.

The answer has to be objective, not subjective.
