Just had a potential hookup stroke my ego commenting on pics, love to meet up, tell me all the naughty things they'd do to me.

20min drive away too. I state I can host. He can drive. Then...can I send £10 for petrol?

I'm primed for scams as often get messages from Prince Hamza of Dubai Royal Family. I was honest and said just on here for meets for sex and beer.

Profile reported and blocked.

Sharing so you don't get caught out.

Yeah that's a thing. I've apparently got a suitcase containing some gold bullion stuck in an airport locker and is waiting to be picked up, which was described as "woven in machine".

Yes. Recently lovebombed by someone who hadn't viewed me, doesn't live where his profile says, and had some yarn about how he didn't match his profile because...something or other. Very persistent too. The next move would have been the scam, but I stopped it there. Didn't have to block him - he blocked me!

Moral: never assume, check.

A few years ago I had a guy ask if I would help with his petrol money. He was about 35 miles away so a 70 mile round trip. So yes I did give him some money. He was polite about it and a genuinely nice guy so I didn't mind.

£10 for a 20 minute drive sounds a bit steep even with the current prices

Even so the answer would still be a polite no if you want to charge for sex there are better sites than this lol

I'm thinking you made the money conditional on his arrival!

I would think if the distance was considerable and the cost of fuel an issue... then no harm in politely mentioning a contribution to travel costs! Personally, I would only meet local... so it's never an issue.

He had suggested I helped him with his petrol money before he set off. No figure was mentioned. After we'd had a very nice sex session he cautiously brought the subject up again. If I was a right miserable bastard or he was arrogant and useless in bed, I could have refused. As it was we agreed to a sensible sum of money and we parted happy.

Fuckin' cheapskates. I had a guy recently who contacted me and the initial conversation went well. He failed to read the part of my profile that says I don't accomodate though, and as he seemed a little inexperienced, I suggested a visit to a South London sauna (I'm north of the river). I told him there'd be plenty of other guys he could meet if I couldn't make it.

This turned into him asking if I could pick him up, which I wouldn't do as I travel there on the Underground, before he asked if I would pay his entrance fee. I said no, and asked why he wasn't offering to pay MY entrance fee, and it all fizzled out from there.

As I said, I've no time for fuckin' cheapskates.

What's sensible? £5/10/20/50/100? After all, it's not just fuel costs. What about wear and tear on the vehicle? What was he driving (e.g. cost of servicing, tyres, etc. on a Porsche is brutal!)?

Sensible, in my mind at least, is having zero thoughts about asking/providing money for any meets arranged through this site. Anything else is the thin edge of the wedge towards prostitution, potentially getting the owners of this site into a sticky position

Had a guy last week, some good strong chats leading to arranging a meet. Few days before the meet he brazenly asks if I can help him out financially! Immediate block. Thankfully nipped in the bud befoee meeting, would have been quite embarrass if he’d asked at the meet

Do me a favour, you clearly have no knowledge of the law. Not that I agree with it, but asking for a private arrangement to cover expenses is nowhere close to prostitution, and nothing to do with the site owners.

Furthermore, prostitution isn't a criminal offence. Your suggestion is ridiculous.

Blocking and reporting is the best, most appropriate response to a request for money. 'Advertising' it as sensible and reasonable, if done politely, via this forum is selfish, reckless and definitely not polite!

Your response is more than ridiculous: I made no suggestion and did not say that asking for expenses was prostitution! You clearly have difficulties in comprehension, not to mention a failure in recognising the limitations in your own abilities! I have zero interest in doing you a favour 😂

I'm not sure if it is a scam. I do think some people are so hard up. Ten pound can make a difference to them. Sadly I wouldn't want to be playing with anyone in that state.

Someone did try it on with me on the site a few years ago. Just before I set off to meet him after a long set of text exchanges he asked for forty pounds in cash. His reason was girls my age must be desperate for young blokes like him.

He's wrong and easily blocked

Why should anyone who is accommodating have to pay for the other persons travel costs!! The reason they are travelling is because they obviously cannot accommodate, so what the hell is wrong with these ungrateful people nowadays. Tell them to do one simples.

"What's sensible? £5/10/20/50/100?"

The guy who visited my place the other week thought £25 was a sensible amount. At least, that's what I discovered was missing from my wallet (all of the cash that was there) a few days later. Took me a while to realise because I tend to use my phone to pay for everything.

He didn't even drive - and I gave him a lift to the train station after! Felt rather foolish about not hiding my wallet before inviting a stranger into my home. He wasn't was from Fab, if anyone's wondering.

An unfortunate experience from a guy with light fingers but fortunate, I guess, that he left, satisfied with 'only' £25

So after 3 attempts you still can't justify your declaration that paying someone's petrol money, or not as the case may be, has any connection with prostitution, a lawful activity in any case.

I seem to have stirred up a hornets nest here by helping some guy with his petrol money. Firstly it was quite a few years ago. Probably 10. Secondly I cannot remember which site I met him through. Thirdly I cannot remember how much money I gave him but it was not a huge amount. Fourthly although he asked if I could help him, considering the distance, he did not set a fee and was not demanding. I could easily have told him to sod off if I was a selfish, bloody-minded sort of guy.
