If they only have diet anything, I'll do without. Bloody awful aftertaste.

Pisses me off that all the weird and wonderful new Coke flavours the come out with are only ever in Diet versions.

I'm starting to think Pepsi has changed in the last couple of years. It's started to taste a bit like artificial sweetener is being introduced or increased.

"I prefer Pepsi-Max to Coke Zero / Diet."

They’re all very similar - zero sucrose, sweetened with aspartame, sucralose or equivalent artificial sweetener. For the record health and cancer organisations , including Cancer Research UK and the National Cancer Institute, conclude that there is no strong evidence that artificial sweeteners cause cancer in humans when consumed at normal levels. As far as normal levels is concerned a 70 kg adult would need to consume roughly 14 cans of diet soda every day to exceed the safe daily limit. But carbonated drinks significantly contribute to dental caries (cavities) and enamel erosion. The carbon dioxide that creates the fizz forms carbonic acid, while added flavorings (like citric or phosphoric acid) lower the drink's pH. This acid softens the protective tooth enamel.

So it all comes down to what taste you prefer, but drink them in moderation.

My friend always has a "diet" when out for a meal ,, his logic is that the "diet" part of the "diet" means he can have more chips because the "diet"part balances it out 😊
