Bored and hot !!!

Who enjoys decent chef’s knives ?

Got a a set of Wüsthof around 10 years ago - transformed my cooking.

I get them serviced every 4 months at a Pro sharpener.

Couple of months ago, I was watching an old James Martin round the country thing and he visited a forge in Peckham !!!!

Blenheim Forge.

3 lads forging exquisite knives in the UK !!!

Curious, I bought a Petty…..

OMFG. The Wüsthofs were toast - ordered 2 more, a Santuko and a Nakiri.

Waiting for them to get their asses into gear and do a run of pairing knives.

Very happy chopper ! Phnarr Phnarr

I’ve got a set of Wusthof which I brought 10 years ago, they’re pretty awesome knives and still as sharp as the day that I brought them. I look after them very carefully; they only ever get Handwashed one at a time and they never go in the dishwasher. I use a whetstone to keep them sharp and the results are fantastic.

To any aspiring home chefs, try and buy the most expensive set of knives for your budget, it’s a wonderful investment.

I still use Sabatier carbon steel knives I started with 60 years ago. Built on to an added to over the years. They take more upkeep than stainless steel but worth it for the edge. My personal opinion of course and in no way denigrating others choices
