I think I read somewhere that the proportion of Cut for non-religious reasons is down to about 4% now in younger guys in the UK, and down to about 50% in the US, whereas it used to be much higher in both.

IIRC Nigeria or similar is 96% cut, so it seems to be very much a cultural thing.

I was Cut at birth and am happy with it (and was perhaps already 'late' in terms of trends shifting away from it), and I prefer it on others too, but personal experience and preference is of course personal.

I wish there was a search criterion on here for Cut/Uncut but I can see why the site owners might not wish to implement it, given the feeling of some towards the practice.

Cut from birth, 49 now, have no idea why my parents chose to do it and have never been inclined to ask, despite not wanting to be cut.

I do know that for a period in time it was seen as a better option regarding genital hygiene and it does reduce your risk of some STIs, which I can see, but I think it's an unnecessary step. You just need to clean under your foreskin properly, which sadly is information that hasn't reached all uncut guys I've met in the past 🤣🤣🤣
