Always been rubbish at picking up signals. Looking back at missed opportunities because I didn’t see what was staring me in the face.

Looking back I missed a lot of opportunities because I didn’t know the signals but once I did I had fun. Shame the internet wasn’t around then!

Yeah I’ve had a couple of opportunities that I didn’t realise were opportunities at the time, lots of regret but always hoping to have more that workout

I worked with gay guy and it was only after I left that I thought about comments he had made on nights, then few years after I was in swimming pool changing room and saw him naked.

I've missed too many to count. One memorable one was in my military days, a good friend who I'd know for a few years and would often playfully flirt with me got married to a local German girl.

They were both incredibly good looking people.

I helped them move into their new home on the British estate above the barracks.

Ordinarily single soldiers were not allowed in the quarters areas unless on duty. One Saturday he asked me to help him move some new furniture and then we'd go for a couple of beers.

I arrived to find him home alone and the furniture consisted of a couple of small chairs and a coffee table.

We shuffled them about then he offered a guided tour of their new home, a very small flat. His flirting continued, eventually into the main bedroom, it was all laid out with candles, low lighting, and nice bedding with towels spread over the top. I asked why the towel were there, he replied "I always like to be prepared!" I thought he was referring to his wife coming home later. I said something like "oh that nice, shall we go for a drink?"

He quickly folded up the towel and off we went.

I didn't realise straight away, but when I did, I was absolutely gutted that I'd missed my chance with one of the few men I've ever really fancied 😢

I've more or less always noticed the signals, but always been too shy to act on them... if I fancy a guy I find it really hard to engage in case I fuck it up

Work colleague invited me to his hotel room “for a drink” when we were both working away in London. He asked me to just wait a minute whilst he went to the bathroom.I didn’t realise until after I’d left that he’d intended more than just a drink. Saw him next day and he looked a bit sheepish. It was me who should have been embarrassed.

I needed a friend to nudge my arm and point out someone flirting with me. For 40th bday, my bestie female friend and I did Amalfi Coast. Getting there by train from Venice. 10days. Amazing trip.

We stayed in Sorrento as a good base. I'm a chunky bear and don't get much attention. 6ft4" waiter comes to seat us and take order. Very attentive. In my head he's just angling for a tip...little did I know I'd be taking his tip! Haha

Friend points it out. Everytime I look at him he's smiling at me. We pay bill and there's a note! He's off at midnight.

I see my friend to another bar and she's happy to gimme an hour or so.

What they fella didn't do to me... 🫣 Took him to my room. His body. Just him being him. What he did with 3 fingers made it very memorable for me.

Always thank my wingwoman for pointing it all out.

Do I regret a missed opportunity? Yes n no. About 30 years ago a str8 mate came to my flat after a night out drinking with other mates . He missed his bus and needed a place to sleep. I told him he could sleep on the sofa. He stripped down to his boxers. Then stood inches away from me and got his cock out saying I wanted it . I tried not to look and said NO . So he put it away and fell asleep. I'd always fancied him but I knew if we did anything while he was d*unk and I was sober I'd never forgive myself and the next morning when he realised what nearly happened he would regret it. It was never spoken about again for about ten years. I still secretly fancied him and he knew it. If I could turn back time I still think I would do the same thing.
