Pheromone Parties

Has anyone here actually been to a pheromone party? If so, what was your experience?

I've always been fascinated by the idea that we're attracted to people for reasons we're not consciously aware of. Personally, I've noticed that when I'm completely clean, my natural baseline scent—especially from my armpits—has this subtle, calming, woodsy, almost "aromatic shop" kind of smell. It's not body odour or an unwashed smell at all; it's just a warm, musky skin scent that seems to become more noticeable when my body heat rises.

It got me wondering how much of an attraction is influenced by our natural body chemistry. I've read that scientists have explored whether immune system compatibility and natural scent play a role in attraction, although the evidence for human pheromones is still debated.

So I'm curious:

Have you ever been to a pheromone party?

Did you notice yourself being drawn to certain scents?

Did the experience match who you found attractive visually, or were you surprised?

Do you think natural scent influences attraction more than we realise, or do you think it's mostly psychological?

I'd love to hear your experiences and opinions.

I've never even heard of such a thing - I lead a sheltered life these days ...

I've been very strongly drawn to the natural scent of men since I was in my 20s and smells in general. The natural scent of a man, especially his pits but basically all of him, is a huge turn on for me and the stronger the scent the better. That's why I really dislike deodorant, anti-perspirant and cologne.

(Needless to say, in general, and especially on here, this is a very niche opinion!)

I definitely agree with that.

I suppose a pheromone party where everyone had washed, showered, then applied anti-perspirant and cologne would be a bit of a damp squib, rather like walking through the perfume counter of a large department store.

Nearest thing I have experienced to this was the post match rugby changing room. The scent of sweaty, muddy men was intoxicating but sadly never proved sexual

As a side-issue, what you've recently eaten also leaves its traces in your pits. Garlic, obviously - a turn off for me - and then there's fenugreek; the spice that dominates most curries. It takes a day or two to work through my system but then I smell like aloo methi for the next 24 hours.
