Saunas, cruising and FabGuys

I wanted to have a little rant and ask for others opinions. I regularly go to one of two cruising areas near me. I’ll walk around and will come across a guy stroking his pants or with his dick out and within seconds that dick will be inside me. When I go my local sauna which isn’t local but over an hour away so I don’t go often, I will occasionally pay attention to some guy, there’ll be a polite tap and that interaction is over but most of the time I get that dick. But on FabGuys it’s a different story. I’ve only met three guys on here in all the time I’ve been a member. Most of the time if you approach anyone they block you. I regularly get blocked after sending photos and I currently have four messages in my inbox from guys who have invited me round but have gone quiet when I’ve pointed out that I’ll need their address in order to do that. Is everyone looking for a twink on here?

What is other people’s experience? FabGuys just seems to be full of men who claim they want to fuck you but don’t do anything when given the opportunity.

I find that it’s sometimes about timing on here; he’s free and you’re free and you’re both after the same thing. Meets do happen off here as verifications illustrate but it can be difficult.

At cruising areas and in saunas then in the main all guys are looking for the same thing so you’re much more likely to hook up with someone at those places.

My theory is that many of the guys you refer to are bi curious but never really ever meet. For some that’s a step too far, they are just keyboard fantasists. It’s one of the reasons why I avoid the site late at night, particularly at weekends.

If you've ever done any sort of performance art, or have to do public speaking, you'll probably have noticed how that first 30 seconds is the hardest and then you, to use a phrase I learned doing drama lessons, 'get out of your own head'.

If your in a sauna or whatever, your already out of your own head. So is he. So if your game, and he's game, you can get down to it.

Online, your not out of your own head. Your very much in your own head. So you've still got to get over those first 30 seconds. The idea of going to town on a strangers cock is a pretty big jump. Most wimp out.

I've wimped out plenty of times too. To the point I'd much rather meet someone for a drink or meet them at a sauna or a cruise bar or something and then go from there.

This is absolutely the case. Plus, of course, the difference is that cruising or in the saunas everyone is already committed to some degree. Online (anywhere, not just FG) a lot of guys are just feeling their way, or are fantasists. You have a larger, but much more dilute pool.

Lots of good and valid points made already - but one other thing that may not help you OP - you've got no pics posted, so people are effectively taking a chance on replying to your messages as to whether there's going to be some awkwardness when they do get to see pics over whether there's an attraction or not.

A sauna is also a safe space.. you can quickly size each other up and both decide whether you’re prepared to have sex with this person, and there are people around if anything is wrong. No worries about finding yourself in a situation that you might if you arrange a meet on here (or somewhere like here)
