Think the issue is the definition of a 'Bear'

Hairy - yes

Large/chub - not always.

Some hairy guys assume the bigger they are the better they are as a Bear. Doesn't always work.

Personally I love a hairy guy but not really into large or very large guys.

The definitions generally have changed I think I've seen normal sized men describe themselves as chubby...but when it comes to bears I believe the certain porn and sites are pushing the idea that only muscle bears are actually bears whilst ignoring the cubs otters etc

On a bear-ish note I am wondering why my bodily hair has diminished over the last few years. Used to have a really thick carpet of hair over my chest, arms, arse and thighs. Still got some but nowhere near as much. Pubes, beard hair and the hair on my head still keep growing like mad though.

Only ever met one who'd tick the boxes to qualify as a 'bear' on here and that was years ago.

It's silly to generalise as to why they're less common for some reason, but maybe they don't need to go looking for it.

Big build, tall, handsome, hairy etc tend to have plenty of options. I'd like to be one of those options mind you
