"Well, I asked a young policeman If he'd only lock me up for the night Well, I've had pigs in the farmyard Some of them, some of them, they're alright Well, he fucked me with his truncheon And his helmet was way too tight On where can I get my cock sucked? Where can I get my arse fucked? " Is this the legendary 'missing' rolling stones song?

At the end of the 60’s the Stones had become disillusioned with their record label, Decca. The relations between the label and the band had been deteriorating since the issues around the label’s refusal to release the Beggars Banquet album with its toilet wall graffiti cover. The Stones decided to form their own label via a distribution deal with Atlantic Records and told Decca that they would not resign with them. Decca told the Stones that they were contractually obliged to release one more single so the Stones gave them Cocksuckers Blues, knowing that it would never be released as a single. It’s available as a bootleg but it’s never been officially released.

"When rain has hung the leaves with tears i want you near, to kill my fears to help me to leave all my blues behind. For standing in your heart is where i want to be and long to be Ah but i may as well, try and catch the wind. Donovan 1965. xx " Brilliant, Donovan is a genius.

"The British police are the best in the world I don’t believe one of these stories I’ve heard About them raiding our pubs for no reason at all Lining the customers up by the wall Picking out people, knocking them down Resisting arrest as they’re kicked to the ground Searching their houses, calling them queer I don’t believe that sort of thing happens here.." "The whole of Down In The Tube Station At Midnight by The Jam - if ever a song painted a picture in words that does it perfectly - it's sheer poetry" ... .. Agreed. One listens and can feel the air blowing through a tube station. The pubs/scrubs line is a classic.

"I’ve been to Nice and the Isles of Greece And sipped champagne on a yacht I moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo And showed them what I’ve got I’ve been undressed by Kings and seen some things that a woman shouldn’t see, I’ve been to Paradise , but I didn’t stay for tea …….." Beautiful song plus had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Charlene once.
