What is the one meal or food you miss that your Mum or Gran use to make?

Those home cooked comfort meals that even though you try you just can’t make the same as them

It’s simple food but my gran would make a mean bubble and squeak and to this day I just can’t make it the same

Rock Buns with the brown sugar on top 😋

The star turn my mother cooked was kidneys and rice. I've tried to match it, but always failed. Maybe it was the herbs.

Interesting you mention as that was ma Nana's secret ingredient-just a dash- in her legendary Cullen Skink.

My Nana's Beef stew with dumplings, thick enough to stick to your ribs, and with enough saturated fat to give you instant heart disease, but my god it was amazing.

She was an amazing cook and I'm pretty good myself, I can make mostly everything else that she used to cook, but I've never managed to get this one right and I don't know how she did it.
